Forehead Thermometer for Adults and Kids, Non Contact, 1s Result (Gray)

I recently purchased the Forehead Thermometer for Adults and Kids and I’m extremely happy with it. It’s incredibly easy to use—just one button and you get a fast, accurate reading within seconds. The display is clear and bright, making it easy to check temperatures even in the middle of the night. I especially love the fever alarm feature. It gives a quick, gentle alert so you know right away if someone may be running a fever. This has been great for both adults and kids in my home, and the no-touch design makes it hygienic and perfect for little ones who don’t like traditional thermometers. Overall, it’s reliable, fast, and convenient. I highly recommend this thermometer for any household—especially if you want something accurate and stress-free for kids and babies.

This review is in regard to the Shenzhen Finicare Model FC-IR2000 touch-free IR thermometer for Goodbaby (and good adults too!). I am adding my review to the 20,000 others so that I can now claim to be a published author. My thermometer is white with three blue side buttons and a trigger. Now, the button count is important. Let me explain.... I went to engineering college and one of the courses I took was human engineering where we learned about button color, shape, and count. The folks that designed this little beauty clearly took that course. They gave it just enough blue buttons. Perfection. I bought it because: I am tired of digital forehead IR thermometers that accidently switch between F°/C°. I am tired of digital forehead IR thermometers that turn off the backlight before you have a chance to read the temperature. And I am tired of digital forehead IR thermometers that get you all involved with previously recorded numbers when all you want to do is get one simple current temperature. I can sum up the Shenzhen Finicare Goodbaby operation in 3 words: Point and shoot. But wait, you say. What if I want to read in Celsius? There is a button for that. And what if I want to review my last 35 measurements? There is a button for that. And what if I want to measure my sleeping good baby without beeping? There is a button for that. And what if I want to calibrate this thing against my Cesium Beam atomic thermocouple calibration standard? There is a button combination to do that too. But if you just want to read your forehead temperature? Point and shoot. As with all non-contact forehead IR thermometers, accuracy can be a bit hit or miss depending upon where you point. That is the way it is with forehead measurements. Different body locations read different temperatures. The temporal scan will usually be about 0.5 to 1-degree Fahrenheit lower than an oral measurement, according to Gooddoctor. However... With this device, you could easily take 3 measurements and average them. The accuracy is certainly good enough for me and probably you too. There are other measurement methods that can rectify the slight inaccuracy situation, But, I am not looking back. So, in summary: It works, it is easy to read, and it shuts off automatically. Five stars. I like it. A lot.

If you want a fast noninvasive way to take temperatures, this is a good choice. If you think you can get as reliable results of someone's internal temp by measuing a small patch of external skin as you would with an internal probe (or at least inside the ear), you're kidding yourself -- get yourself a rectal thermometer. This thing works (I own a diagnostic IR scanner for other purposes that I can compare results with) -- but where and how you choose to do the measurement affects results. I haven't had a thermometer in decades and this helped me realize why not. You don't need a thermometer to know if someone's temp is normal, slightly elevated, hot, or scorching -- and if you can make those distinctions, the precise number is unimportant. At the same time, I like the simplicity and find it useful. Read the instructions and think about how it actually works for best results

Works good for checking fever! It also can check your A/C temperature.

Everyone in our house got sick recently, at the same time of course, and my thermometer went out. I was looking to buy something I could use without having to touch the patient or person here to keep from spreading germs. Came across this gem and could not be more pleased!! Its very lightweight. Works quick and reads your temp in just a second!!! All you have to do it point and click and you have the temp!! Its pretty small so thats nice for storage. Seems to be well made, so hopefully lasts longer than my last one. Battery should last a while as it automatically goes off when not in use. The accuracy seems on point. Overall I think this is a pretty good biy and I am happy with it!! Price was good too for this type. As an RN, I would absolutely recommend this to a friend!! Hope this helps with your decision.

Thermometer worked very well instantly. Came with batteries. This is a necessary item every home should have.

I bought this infrared thermometer to keep at home so I could quickly check temperatures whenever someone wasn’t feeling well. It’s very simple to use right out of the box and gives a reading within a second or two. I like that the screen changes colors depending on the temperature because it makes it easy to tell at a glance if someone has a fever. It’s lightweight, comfortable to hold and doesn’t require touching the person’s skin, which is especially helpful when checking temperatures on someone who’s sleeping.
