So far it seems to work well....
This cleaner seems to work effectively at cutting through the tarry buildup in tobacco pipes. It looks and smells EXACTLY like Scope- this has me on the fence about giving it an unconditional endorsement. I have to say that so far it has not ghosted an artificial mint (which is how it smells) into my pipes yet that I can notice, but it may be my sparing use of it so far. I have used it to clean out stems, the pipe mortise, the smoke hole, and to gently wipe out the bowl of my pipes. The product cautions against getting it on the exterior surface of the pipe, as it may etch the finish.

Great for everyday, or cleaning out long-term buildup
I used this to clean a long-used pipe which had a great deal of buildup in the bowl, which had gotten to the point of interfering with its use. There is enough in this bottle to fill the bowl, soak it, scrape it out, repeat until only a thin layer of residue was there. After drying it off, it smoked better-than-new!

Mouthwash and rubbing alcohol?
Good product but I agree with another reviewer that it smells a bit like listerine mouthwash and isopropyl rubbing alcohol. No ingredients are listed in the bottle either. Will not purchase again as I can probably get by with making this in my own.

Better than the others
This does an effective job at cleaning out my pipes without leaving a rubbing alcohol scent or taste in the pipe. Other ones I tried did that. This one didn’t.

Works like a charm!
Cleans stems quickly and easily by setting a pipe cleaner and running it through the stem. Cleaned two stinky pipe bowls from years of use and they are now smelling fresh. It eliminates that old, foul stem taste that comes from just cleaning with a pipe cleaner. Great!

Good stuff
Cleans bowls well, very strong scent though. I learned to let a freshly cleaned bowl air out for a couple days first, before smoking it again.

Great for my pipes
I know I can use other, cheaper things for my pipes. But I really enjoy this product and it does a great job at making sure they taste good
