Update 6-10-2025: First things first- this saw is truly a little beast. I thought I ruined it with the wrong fuel mix. NAW! Just mixed up the correct flavor and she fired right up and now runs perfectly. Easy starting and has gotten more powerful as it broke in. Second- Ecotech mailed me an air filter cover, from China, for free. They just asked for a photo of the broken part. Took a while but who cares. This is WORLD CLASS CUSTOMER SERVICE folks. BTW, and I don't use this saw every day, but it has at least 10-12 hours on it, and I'm still running the original chain! Pretty sweet saw for $135 or whatever. Don't miss out on getting one. Raised to 5 STARS! I got this saw for light work. At first it cut pretty well and I was happy with the saw. Unfortunately I didn't realize the saw wants 25:1 gas/oil mix and used standard 50:1. My bad, but I didn't think any saw makers were requiring 25:1. Anyway, saw now is very hard to start and won't idle. Did I ruin it? Don't know and I don't know how to contact the maker. Also, I dropped the saw and broke the retaining screw off the air filter cover so now that won't stay on unless I tie it on with string. I'd like to buy a replacement cover if possible. Ecotek, if you're reading this, can you supply parts to the US market? Thanks

This saw replaces an Echo 330 which performed the amazing trick of being too large to be a small saw, too small to be a large saw. It got impossible to start , even with a new carburetor. When I looked into repairing it, (Possible partial piston seizure) the parts were CRAZY EXPENSIVE. I own larger Husqvarna saws, and have extensive experience repairing and maintaining them, ( and loved their amazing rugged reliability)and the Echo situation was VERY ANNOYING, given the rugged reliability the Huskys have given me over the years. To make a long story short I ditched the Echo and decided to try the Neotec, because I was NOT ABOUT TO BUY ANOTHER CRAZY EXPENSIVE ECHO SAW, only to have it flunk, and there was no Husqvarna flat saw available. (I will gladly pay extra for the extreme reliability of the Huskys,) I received the NEOTEC, put it together paying attention to the 25:1 Hi/test fuel/oil mix they recommend- I mixed it a little richer even than that for break-in, added the chain oil, choked it, primed it, cranked three times (it popped on the second pull), took the choke off, cranked once more and it was running. (Pro tip- if you use two of the 2.6 oz containers you normally add to a 1 gal container for a 50:1 mix, you get a 25:1 mix) It was cold and slow to rev, but after a warmup, it revved and ran strongly. I tested it cutting small diameter waste oak up to 3". It pulled strongly, never slowing down. The engine revs a little higher before clutch engagement than the Huskys. It has good one-handed balance, noise level was OK, vibration level was low. It oils the chain very heavily (I prefer a heavy oiling saw-it keeps your chains and bars healthy) . Hot restarts were a 1-pull affair. I am looking forward to a limbing job soon- If the saw exhibits reliability commensurate with its performance, we have a winner! The minimalist instruction pamphlet included also provided information on carb needle jet initial settings, maybe not needed, but welcomed by a guy who works on his equipment. So- for the price point- this saw looks good, good, good. Follow up: After several days use and many starts, I had to lay it up for a couple of days, then it was back to work- I took the saw down off the shelf, pumped the bulb, pulled the choke up, pulled the string and on the second pull it cranked off while choked- I pushed the choke knob down, opened the throttle and cleared the saw- then off to work- Easy. Peasy. Much easier even than pulling an extension cord out for an electric small saw. I bought three Neo-Tec saw chains, also very inexpensive. They are a 92 chain low profile- I have a chain grinder and keep my chains sharp and rakers low, but the inexpensive chains means that the homeowner with only a file can afford to keep sharp new chains on hand, and keep his job going without fighting dull blade- again- good, good, good. If the saw gives the durability I need, its a winner! 5/16/2024- high winds came through the Houston area- I lost a mature oak with a rotten heart- blew the top out, along with many smaller branches and debris down on my homestead- I HAD BOUGHT ANOTHER IDENTICAL SAW, I LIKED THE FIRST ONE SO WELL,- I put them both to work- in four hours and about 25 cartloads later, we were done. The second one runs strongly, but needs some fine tuning to start as easily as the first one when hot, but I am sure it will tune up easily. There were no malfunctions, both were super easy start when cold- the light weight and good balance along with the good power of the saws made it a real time and effort saver- I didn't have to start my Husqvarna 445 or 460- so- again- a real nice saw for the money- and a great addition for the homeowner needing a handy saw with good capabilities! 6-8-2024 Large Pine tree (>120 feet) fell on the back of my property, we have had over 50" rain this year; and the mud goes down 4 feet. The falling pine took out the corner of the garden, put debris in the pool, and left a mess. I cut it up mostly with this 12" for limbing the top, then cut the bole up with the 460 husky. When I got down to about 20 feet left, I left the bole and root ball intact. A couple of days later I cleaned off about 1 1/2 cy of dirt off the root ball, and was able to roll and pull the root ball out of the hole with my tractor. I put the 24" bar on the 460 and removed the rest of the bole and the long taproot. I backfilled the hole and was able to turn the stump upright, and attempted a burn using a steel heat cap and forcing air with a shop vac. No joy, it was just too green. So I was forced to return to cutting back the root and removing dirt- the 12" Neo tech really shined in this work, removing gnarled roots in muddy dirt was a snap- plus the NeoTech blade must have hardened cutters- usually when I hit a dirt pocket, the husky chains dull immediately- but the Neotech blade stayed sharp! Anyway, when the weight got under 1000#, I hooked up with the front end loader, lifted and hauled the stump. Next day I remediated the area, and the stump will be burned in a couple of weeks- anyway- the small Neotec saw really shined in this work, save my energy and made the job MUCH MUCH easier! I like these small saws!!!! Plus they start easy peasy! 6/19/2024 Burned out two more stumps- used the NeoTecs to trim the edges of the stump,down in the dirt again. They make it much easier to do close -in work- I also think the NeoTec folks are providing hardened cutters on the chains- when I hit a sand pocket with the Husqvarna saw chains, they instantly dull. The Neotecs remain sharp longer- I really think the NeoTecs are made for folks with grinders; the Husky saws cutters are soft to make them easier to maintain by those using files to sharpen. Anyway the harder cutters stay on the job better- I am curious how they will behave when I grind- but so far, so good, good, good. My next purchase will be one for my brother for a birthday present- he is getting along with a heavy old McCullough commercial saw that must be 40 years old. He will think he has gone to heaven. 8/01/2024 OK- the brother finally got his saw- he lives so far back in the East Texas Boonies that Amazon couldn't find him- but its working now- HE LIKE! 8/11/2024 -Using the saws for elevated work-Again- enjoyed easy start after laying up for several weeks- just fill the tank-pump- choke- pull once- unchoke- pull once and enjoy the sound of a running saw- the easy start and light weight and adequate power make de-limbing much SAFER and easier. When I climb, I don't really want a saw that is overpowered- I like it light and controllable, and easy to operate,- plus these saws have a loop for pulling up after you are in place and tied off, and you can clip your saw lanyard to - and anything you can do to to make the job easier is a plus when you are at height. Took off a large hang down that Hurricane Beryl left me - along with its branch at the tree- about 8" diameter- the branch was positioned so that I had to use the saw one handed- no problem with this light saw, but impossible with my other heavy two handed saws- down came the branch- then the long pickup in the heat- success- what can I say- I remain impressed with the saws- 4-2-2025 Used for removing a 10" trunk crepe myrtle over my patio- worked like a champ in the close quarters available, and was especially useful working on a ladder having to tether the saw and pull it up and down. 4-7-2025 -This is a 1 year of operation report-, this and my other two saws remain operational and trouble free- Used this #1 saw this morning for removing shrubs with 3-4" trunk thickness on my property, easy peasy, Even tho the morning was cold, 3 flips of the starter rope and the saw started easily on choke, I used one tank of gas and started on another, and the job was done. Restart is a 1-flip operation. They ARE NOISY!! wear your ear protection. Again!!!! These saws are not over powered!!!! They are designed to be controllable and SAFE for the small jobs and close-in work they are sized for, and are light enough to use with one hand without giving you Tendonitis. If you want a fire breathing commercial power saw, THESE ARE NOT FOR YOU! I have heavy saws for heavy work. I break them out when I need them- but a pro knows its best not to drive tacks with a 10 lb sledge. These light saws have been a pleasure to use around my place!!!

This is an initial unboxing and assembly of the NCS6200 chainsaw. The first thing that would be worth the time would be to rework the manual for an English speaking audience. It is not completely bad, but just a little time would help significantly to change the errors and make it easier to understand. There is really no big assemble tasks. The only thing you have to do is to ”install” the anti kickback paw. The maintenance tools are included and a zippered pouch to store them in. The build seems to be good and the saw is well balanced centered only slightly forward of the handle. The assembly seemed tight and the bar seems heavily made to perform for a significant time. I don’t have time today to start up the engine, but I will update this after I get it started and use it a bit. This saw upfront seems to have excellent value for the price.

Good saw for the price. Has mostly standard parts (uses 25:1 gas:oil tho). Only issue is that it doesn't idle well. Engine will start fine and fast-idle well, but most of the time after running the blade it will kick off and need a single pull to restart.

For the price it works great ! Cut 3acres of trees with it from 2” to 12” and every thing in between , it’s easy to clean and having the bigger chain makes it cut better than most saws in its size. It’s built very well and the two nut bar hold I like better then the single on the other name brands that coast way more . It’s easy to assemble and easy to use because it so light to handle, the chain brake works very well with easy use of operation.

This is an awesome little saw - I’m shocked at how much I did with it and how well it handled cutting things bigger than probably should be. Right out of the box it fires up super easily and I did the break in process for a new chainsaw and it’s just great. I will say for me I put a new Oregon brand chain on it, I wasn’t sure how good their chain is but I’m working up in a lift and I wasn’t in a position to experiment easily. I have used them and like them but their chain looks good too- just haven’t tried it. Some feedback is the clutch slips easily I think by design to save the saw compared to a 460 rancher but it’s understandable given its design. I also use ethanol free gas and I mix it 24:1 with vp 2 stroke oil- personal preference. It’s a thirsty little saw but I think it’s awsome- very affordable compared to the other brands and so far working very well. I think out of the box the oil setting is a little high it does seep a bit but so do all my other saws - bar oil is cheap chains and bars not so much. I highly recommend this and be aware they call for 25:1 fuel oil mix which a change from most out there calling for 50:1 (less oil). I highly recommend ethanol free gas and when u store any saw follow that- on utube every where will make ur life so much easier when u need a saw the following season.

I ordered this chainsaw on Wednesday because it said it would be delivered on Friday. Friday came and it didn’t arrive. Saturday, no saw. Sunday, no saw. I contacted customer support and they said that they would give me a refund. I still wanted the saw though. So after about a week it finally arrived. Customer support allowed me to get a refund and still keep the saw. Now for the saw review. At first glance it was very cheaply made. I had to install the chain, bar and side cover. The side cover didn’t fit correctly and it was a pain in the neck to get it on. I mixed the gas accordingly and gave it a few pulls and it started up. I’m usually pretty hard on equipment so I wasn’t expecting much. I cut a ton of wood with it. Probably 8 facecords and it worked flawlessly. As of now, I’m pleasantly surprised. However due to the amount of plastic used, I expect breakage in the future. Especially where the chain adjustment is. It is all plastic. The saw has plenty of power. It starts up no problem. I also expect to be adjusting the carburetor in the future. The last time I ran it, it died twice on me. The problem was that the gas cap is not vented properly and it created a vacuum. If you’re looking for a cheap saw to use as a backup (for when you make mistakes and get your saw stuck in a tree lol) I’d suggest getting it. If you’re going to be hard on it, I doubt it will last long. However, if you get it for free like I did, you can’t go wrong.

UPDATE from 1 start to 3 stars read update down at the bottom. Definitely not worth buying. I ordered this Neo Tech 25cc saw and was impressed at first, after assembling it, mixed 2 stroke gas and adding bar oil it seemed to run really well and made good power for a small saw. Unfortunately the fuel tank leaks badly. I realized this after putting the saw in the back of my vehicle for a day. It’s Fall time in the northwest and we get lots of wind storms, I figured having a new saw in my SUV would be good especially living in the woods. Unfortunately the saw leaks so much gas it will drain the entire tank in a day, it doesn’t matter if it’s sitting on the base or on its side. There definitely a flaw and it’s not coming from the fuel cap. To make matters worse I ordered the Neo tech 43cc saw at the same time as I ordered this one and that 43cc saw doesn’t work right as well. The 43cc saws bar oil pump doesn’t work. So I’m stuck working on two brand new saws from Neo Tech. If you want a saw that doesn’t work right take your chances with Neo Tech. UPDATE After running the saw for the past month I do really like the compact size and it seems to run really well, I’m mixing my gas at 40:1 and it has plenty of power when cutting into a log without any problems. I posted a 1 start rating originally because the fuel tank seems to leak. I realize if you keep the saw in the regular orientation when storing it the fuel doesn’t leak out, but if you leave the saw on its side like you would when filling the tanks then it will weep out completely. So other than that the saw has been good so far. I will update this once I get more tanks of fuel ran through it.
