This quickly has become my favorite rod in my arsenal! VERY light weight and sensitive, great action and casting.

I am always looking for the perfect pole for fishing from a dock--a dock very often visited by some good-size catfish. I may be fishing for something else, but when I know they big fish are around, I change up my tackle and go for them--I love a good fight with a smart fish.This pole works for me: It is 7' long, and that length helps me hold a big fish from heading under the dock where it is easier for them to break the line or scrape off the lure. This pole is lightweight and sensitive--I can feel a tap, but I can also feel a fish that has gently sucked in a bait. For as strong as the pole is, I am impressed by how effortlessly contorts itself into a severe curve when necessary.It is a good-looking rod, too. I bought a Zebco reel specifically for large catfish, and it works well with this pole. Considering the size of the reel, I believe it is probably as balanced a pair as I could find.

I like spinning version. Casting version is too tip heavy and the grip is slippery when wet. Update - I lightly sanded the grip and it's no-longer slippery. Now give it 4 stars.

First things first. This rod was packed pretty carefully and actually arrived in one piece - even though the rod tube was badly damaged in shipping. I have had several one piece rods snap in the past, so, kudos to Cadence for getting it right.The rod is well made and nice looking. The rod blank is blemish free and the guides and reel seat are good quality. I mounted an older Garcia Abu Ambassadeur reel on it and it fit and balanced well. While the rod was advertised as medium weight rod, it was actually pretty heavy duty - hence the heavier-duty reel I chose for the rod. The carbon fiber in the rod makes it extremely sensitive, so it will be great for fishing plastic worms when you need a sensitive touch.Cadence rods compare nicely with other high quality rods and this is my second. I think they are a good value for a higher-end rod.

Very nice rod! This is good for lake fishing where there are some big guys! Pole arrived in good shape. No issues at all. Lightweight. I am loving it!

I am very impressed with the fish ability with this rod. Let me explain I have fished with some of the best bass fishing rods made since the early 80’s aka 1980’s I’ve fished over 5000 tournaments since 1990 so I have fished a lot. With many different rods and brands I am alway Leary When I come across a none name brand fishing rod I haven’t heard of or known anyone useI’ve made my review of this rod. To be great very great results. It has great action and a strong backbone for lifting them boat flip bass into boat. It’s flexible also for getting them heavy cover bass out while fishing in grass beds and timber I was very impressed with the this rodAnd I highly recommend it

I own over twenty bait casting rods. As a bass fisherman, sensitivity is most important in the rods I use for soft plastics and jigs since you need to feel the bite with those presentations. With some other baits, leverage and hook set is more important because once you feel the strike, especially when fishing in cover. I got the 6’10 medium. It is a fairly stiff rod, but it has a soft tip. I could see using it for spinnerbaits, topwaters, even crank baits. It is a quality rod, well built. As a two-handed caster, I like the long handle. But, my preference would be for a cork handle (for those cold mornings), and I’d prefer a bit more bulk in the handle. But those small preferences do not subtract from a five star rating. It was delivered in a tube with protective packaging.

Very pissed this was my birthday present to myself and it came with a bent eyelet and broken tip then got a return and a new rod and that one broke within 2 weeks of having it do not buy this item its junk
