Turned by a lava lamp that functions the way it's supposed to is very difficult. Many of them are very murky and then ask you to go through this huge long process to get rid of the merch and I haven't had one successful attempt to do so it's still a lot of them back I kept this one it's a little murky but I don't know it's some days it was working with another's but I like the way the the wax and water moves together the colors are good it's a nice light gives off a nice color that I like I was saying this was a good purchase I would definitely look into this if you're looking for a lava lamp because many of them are just junk

Purchased this as a gift for my boyfriend. He loved it. Looks great when it's on. The green is like a bright green.

Lamp functions perfectly. Same quality as the one I had (and still have) that my parents bought me in the early 90’s from Spencer’s. My only gripe is that the wax in the lamp is yellow, not green. The lava bubbles look green-ish in the middle, but you can definitely tell it’s yellow. I wanted green bubbles!!!

Had almost this exact one as a kid and it’s so relaxing to fall asleep to. Takes about an hour to warm up so you may want to get a higher wattage lightbulb than the one it comes with. I absolutely love it though.

After a whole day The lamp is still just a big blog. It doesn’t work. and the app won’t let me take a picture.

Blue water, yellow wax... It could be such a perfect retro lava lamp but does not function quite as well as advertised. The effect of this lamp makes many small bubbles that look kind of strange, like a semi emulsification of essential oils with water or something... just not typical of the real lava lamps of the 70s. Perhaps the blue water is slightly too dark and not enough wax in it? Something is going on where the water overpowers the view of the small amount of wax inside making it appear cloudy... Perhaps the wax is the wrong wax for a lava lamp? IDK, but I'm trying another lava lamp. I really love the retro shape of this particular lava lamp however, so bummer it didn't work well.

Item does not work, plugged it in for the first time and the bulb blew immediately, very disappointed nine year old boy this Christmas morning.
