Excellent taste

My wife & I had travelled - pre-pandemic - a couple times a year to Seattle area. There we would find some of the best food and unique ingredients which become a staple to our own pantry at home. Among these we had the most delicious Asian food that we’ve ever had within the States. Some of the ingredients we simply could not find once we returned home. If we did, the sticker price was beyond belief. For whatever reason, it was like searching for the holy grail, at times. This particular ingredient : “GIA VỊ TINH CHẤT RAU CẢI Mushroom Seasoning“ is one of those ingredients that literally made the flavor of particular recipes as they were when we first tasted them in Seattle. Without it, even if we ”substituted” a certain ingredient the sales person guaranteed was the same, it just was not what we were looking for in order to replicate the dish. Frustrating!! We went so far as to have friends FedEx us ingredients we could not find here. However, that presents it’s own challenges. (I’m getting to my point...). As is the case with many items, we were searching through Amazon for some other item when we quite literally stumbled across this ingredient; the exact brand that we used was ready & available to order! Even better the size of the bag was large enough so it would not run out quickly. We were very happy. Yes, I realize it’s sounds like a child being excited over a toy.? But no doubt if you are reading through this comment, you no doubt have something similar in your life that is the same. Regardless, we are satisfied, this product is exactly what we’ve searched for but could not find, we no longer had to take great lengths to receive and we now could have it at a VERY good cost while maintaining a nice sized supply without running out. Now that we are in quarantine, unable to travel our regular annual trip, it’s nice to be able to have such items as this to remind us of such things that we can look forward to getting back to once it’s resolved. It really is the little things that matter.

I know this review will probably be buried among the thousands of reviews but here it goes. I have been using this seasoning for several years now and yes, it works great with a lot of foods, but it is a secret weapon on steaks and hamburgers. It doesn’t change the taste of the steak, it simply enhances the natural beef flavor. It makes it taste beefier. Many of my family & friends hate mushrooms, but they will not cook their steak or hamburgers without this mushroom powder. I’ve tried many brands, but this is the best one. I use half the amount of salt I normally would, pepper and a fairly liberal amount of this powder. Everyone I’ve served it to is in love with it. Trust me try it. And when everybody asks you, why your steaks taste so good tell them it was a little secret Brent gave me!😁

The seasoning is good but it is not in powder form. It is more in a pellet type form which may be good for soups but not for seasoning meats. I have to ground myself which is the reason for 4 stars and not 5.

I saw somewhere that this is an excellent secret ingredient for adding rich umami flavor to all kinds of dishes. After trying with several dishes, I can definitely confirm! This mushroomy-smelling powder adds a great depth of flavor and can go in anything that you'd like to have a bit more depth and complexity. It comes out almost like little granules, which dissolve easily. It's an awesome addition to broths and soups. It made a few quarts of water, some leftover chicken and heavy cream into the most delicious chicken wild rice soup. The whole family ate every bit. I poured some into an empty shaker for ease of use and saved the rest of the large bag for later. Bottom line: I can't possibly gatekeep this secret ingredient. Umami magic. Put it in everything for rich mushroom flavor.

I’ve been using this stuff for years. It truly is MAGIC DUST for your dishes that does not impart a particularly mushroomy flavor but does add just the right amount of umami, while making your other flavors pop. Add it to your marinade/dusting, gravy, beans, soups, casseroles, spaghetti, and just about anything else you can think of. Even just a few simple vegetables pushed around a skillet will make a sensational side dish when seasoned with this. Don't limit yourself to using this in Asian cuisine, (see pics)! To say that it contains “No MSG Added” is a bit misleading. Shitake mushrooms, (from which this mix is extracted), are a natural source of MSG. Look it up! That said, I doubt anyone will have the same MSG sensitivity issues associated with the heavy-handed use of pure white MSG extract shaken on like popcorn salt by unscrupulous restaurateurs. This seasoning is not something to fear, but a MUST HAVE ingredient in your cooking arsenal! A little goes a long way, so it’s also economical. Plan on using 1-2 teaspoons per dish for two people. This seasoning accomplishes the impossible by taking your favorite strong flavors to the next level while simultaneously highlighting the flavors of more subtle ingredients. Your chilies will seems spicier, while your leeks will seem ‘leekier’. It will allow you to create spectacular, satisfying dishes with just a few simple ingredients, or blow people away with an old favorite.

I use this mushroom seasoning in soups and stir frys. This is my second order. Love the taste.
