Got these for my youngest as he wanted something chonky, they are about the size of a snowball for an adults hand. Loads of fun in them, and value for money, the colors have not disappointed

Quite difficult to open the rocks but very impressive once opened .. my 6yr old grandson loves it

Very very hard to break the rock and find a substantial geodes as the picture describes .

Had to resort to a club hammer and wrecking bar to open them. Two wouldn't open and we broke the paving slabs and brick underneath we were hitting them so hard. The ones we opened were all the same the ones we could split were just rock!

Huge hits with the kids and adults. We had to revert to a sledge hammer to crack them open though. The geodes were impressive and are proudly displayed in our son's bedroom.

Rock and crystal loving daughter enjoyed breaking the geodes apart, but needed some help with most of them as only one was actually hollow. The others were solid crystal/rock. This a) made them very difficult to break apart and b) not as advertised. Was expecting the geodes shown in the advert, not solid crystal. Expensive for what it is, esp given only one was actually what we were expecting.

Bought as a joint Christmas present for my three kids - one solid, one very dull stone and all white. Realise you can’t know what you’ll get, but we were a bit underwhelmed and disappointed, especially since it felt like a lot of money to spend.

Un lot de magnifiques géodes. Le kit est bien complet, il manque seulement de quoi les casser, mais bon, un marteau ou autre, on a tous généralement ça chez soi. J’ai ouvert les géodes facilement avec un marteau et une serviette. Le résultat est superbe. Sur les géodes que j’ai eues, j’ai seulement dû en jeter une, car elle n’était pas formée. J’ai eu 2 géodes identiques, une très jolie qui ne ressemble pas vraiment à ce que je connais habituellement en géode, et une autre superbe, noire à l’intérieur, avec des cristaux à moitié formés. C’est très joli, car cela crée une belle délimitation entre la pierre et le cristal. Une bonne découverte que je recommande pour les petits comme les grands.

Superschöne Geoden, 4 davon groß, eine etwas kleiner. Schöne Anleitung und auch kindgerecht (zum Beispiel als Tipp eine Methode, um die Geoden sicher zu öffnen, in einem Socken zerschlagen) und eine Schutzbrille wird auch mitgeliefert. Innen drin sind sie Geoden farblich sehr ähnlich, da ich sie aber ohnehin an verschiedene Menschen verschenken wollte, war das nicht schlimm. Würde ich wieder kaufen.

Un coffret bien rempli avec des géodes de bonnes tailles. Pas encore ouvertes.

We have only opened the smallest geode using the pointed end of the tool shown in the picture. He found it easy to open. However, we tried to open one of the larger ones, but it proved to be more challenging. I’m glad I bought the tools because using a hammer alone wouldn’t have worked well. We’re excited to open the rest of them. I did not find the process messy. Updated 3/16/26 One geode was solid. My son lost interest before I realized it was solid because he was not able to crack it open. I suggest if one seems too difficult, move on and return to it last. I still recommend this; it was a fun activity, plus the sparkly geodes are easy to display and make a great keepsake. Hope this is helpful!

Harder to break than expected but really good specimens! Definitely worth it!
