These usually come preloaded with tunes, which this ad implies, (but not directly) and are wireless. This is a stripped down version that has none of that. In fact, the ad directly states that this product is WIFI enabled... twice. And the first thing I see on the box is that it's not. Then the ad implies that all you need to do is "wirelessly) dowmload the tunes that you want. NOT! Again, no wireless and you need to pay for any tunes you want. Just don't think that you're going to receive those at a discounted price. You're not getting any good deal with this one. At all.

When I received the tuner, I tried to load a tune to my truck but the unit gave a message it needed to be updated. I updated it from my computer as instructed but when I tried to load a tune again, it gave the same “needs to be updated” message. I tried several times to update the unit but never could get it to work. Each time I updated it, the update was noted to be successful and the files listed matched but when I hooked it to my truck it kept showing the “needs to be updated” message. I had ordered the WiFi enabled unit but received a NON WiFi unit. This and not being able to get it to work was the reason I returned the unit. I am very disappointed because I was really looking forward to having the ability to change my truck programming for towing. I’ll likely purchase a different brand instead.UPDATE 11-28-22: I tried once again to get the correct WiFI enabled unit but was AGAIN sent a NON-WiFi unit. And again, this unit would not work on my truck so i called SCT support and was informed this was for California vehicles only. SCT support tried to do a work around on this one but it was not successful. I paid $394 for this one (which is SUPPOSED TO BE WIFI ENABLED BUT IT IS NOT WHAT I RECEIVED TWICE) TAX included but you can get a NON-Wifi unit from Amazon and the retailer, Strange Performance for $281. I have been hosed twice now, ordering the WiFi enabled unit but getting the $281 NON-WiFi unit. I got my tuner and there are no tunes on it

There were no built-in tunes for my Ford F350 with 6.0 Diesel. As I bought custom tunes it wasn’t a big deal but it would have been nice to know.

There is no preloaded tune for 2018-2019 explorer sport. You will need to buy device and then buy custom tune from a specialist for additional cost. $100-$300 more for custom tune.

The reason I returned the item was because the instructions that came with the item did not match the page on the internet, I tried to call the manufacturer and their number didn’t work. The shipper also charged me a $67 restocking fee which was excessive. I do not recommend this seller or manufacturer

When I purchased this item I reviewed the listing carefully to make sure I was getting the correct one. When I received it, it would not work, there was no programming showing for me. Per the instructions, I connected to the computer and checked SCT for update. It showed the unit was all current. So I called SCT tech support, and was advised that this unit was for California vehicles only.So I returned it. Then was surprised when I wasn't given a full refund, since their listing shows "This item can be returned in its original condition for a full refund or replacement within 30 days of receipt. " When I contacted the seller to advise them of the error, I was told that the restocking fee was deducted. And when I advised them that doesn't show on their listing, I was told that is their policy and it is listed on their homepage.Do not recommend - wrong part sent, policy on listing incorrect, bad customer service!

Works good but we had to take to our local mechanic to use it because it needed an update to work and you can’t update it with Mac or IOS and we don’t haVe a PC. Lame
