Another Great Shark Vacuum
This is my third Shark vacuum and there is a reason I keep buying them! They just work, period. My daughter is moving into her own apartment for the first time and wanted the same Shark we already had. It doesn't seem to still be available so I let her take it with her and got a new one for myself. I do also own a lift away but find it a little too heavy to carry around. The super long hose on this item achieves the same thing and is way easier to use. Assembly was very easy and no tools were needed. All of the components just click into place and probably took two minutes to assemble. I have learned over time that the two included attachments are the only ones I really use and both can be stored right onboard the vacuum. I love that both the foam and felt filters can be rinsed in water and do not need to be repurchased. That being said, I usually buy another set anyway so that I can rinse one set and still be able to use the vacuum while they completely dry out. As for the performance, it works really well. The ability to easily adjust the level of suction right from the handle means that I can go from a throw rug, to an area rug, to a wood floor quickly and easily. The swivel operates flawlessly and makes maneuvering a breeze. And the extension of the hose is great. To reach the ceiling, I don't have to do any heavy lifting or stretching. The dust bin is quite large and is also easy to release and empty. This particular item might not have a tons of bells and whistles, but it just works. For 95% of my tasks, it's all I need. And it is a great value! Every single one of my Shark vacuums are still working great, and I'm sure this item is no exception. For the price, it has everything I need and really exceeded my expectations once I used it. I don't see any reason to spend three or fours times the cost of this item on any other vacuum, when this item does the job. Highly recommended!

Great Design - very happy with this model
Very happy with this vacuum. Great suction, & lightweight is a plus. I initially bought a lift away model which I returned very quickly because it was cumbersome; you had to detach the tank from the motor to use attachment & then carry the tank to use it that way & then having to reattach the tank to the motor & the tubes, etc. This model eliminates those steps because it’s all inclusive & is a perfect design. Definitely an improvement from the older models.

Love this vacuum!
I initially bought the Shark Lift Away as someone highly recommended the Shark brand. I didn't know what model to buy. The Lift Away was clunky, awkward and hard to push. The design was poor in my opinion. It was returned. I spoke with my friend who clarified the recommended vacuum was actually the Shark Navigator. I bought it and absolutely love it! It picked up an amazing amount of dirt and cat hair. Get this!

Sturdy
I just got this vacuum today but I did test it out. My tiny dog destroyed my last vacuum which I loved with his continuous attacks so this is a replacement. If you are someone who has a dog that likes to nip at your vacuum I think this design will work well. My last vacuum had a hose that ran along the bottom so every time the pup would nip at it the hose was under stress from the yanking motion and eventually it just broke. This vacuum has a hose that attaches at the back which is awesome. I also like that the front is a bit larger so he can't grab ahold and yank but that might not be the case if you have a larger dog. It is a nice simple straightforward design, has excellent suction and is surprisingly quiet. I find the cord length to be acceptable but I don't have large spaces in my home. Overall it seems to be a nice machine for a reasonable price.

Clever Design That Doesn't Like Shag
The design of this lightweight vacuum is very clever. Emptying the debris chamber is simple and quick. Using the handle with the cleaning attachments as a hand vac is equally quick. The suction power is adjustable which is useful when applying the tools to lightweight rugs, blinds, etc. There's a little hook near the handle that helps get the cord up and out of the way. It does a good job vacuuming with and without roller brush action. Two things are liabilities -- the brush roll gets jammed if you look at it crooked and the reset to this is to have to power it off and back on using the switch located on the body of the vacuum -- not up near the handle like a trigger switch. "Look at it crooked" means pushing it forward into a deep shag carpet -- hardly any resistance met by the roller prompts the vacuum to cut power to the roller, requiring power off / on. So, the workaround using this vacuum on shag is simply to pull it backwards and approach vacuuming much like mowing a lawn -- start vacuuming from the outside perimeter -- making tighter laps around the outside until you get to the center. Or do a pass along one edge and just do tight, 180° turns as you reach the end. It's light enough you can pick it up and just lift it into an area where you want to start a pull back, but the bottom line is it's annoying how quick it is to get jammed and need a restart. All in all I'd recommend it despite this shortcoming if you don't have a lot of shag carpets to keep clean.

Update: not a great product from shark
Update 3: less than a year and this vaccum has stopped working entirely despite being completely disassembled and reassembled. Update 2: This machine is trash. Tell me how I pick up a cup worth of hair and dirt (second photo) off a 10x12 rug AFTER thoroughly vacuuming it with this product— when following behind with my OLD shark this one was purchased to replace? At this point I’m shaking mad that I’ve thrown away money on a vacuum I won’t be able to trust is leaving my rugs clean. This is NOT shark brand quality. Update: after two months, I sort of hate this vacuum. It almost makes me question whether or not I got a brand new vacuum. I have to go over spots multiple times, it clogs easily (dirty and animal hair collect in the wand) and it’s heavy, buzzing motor vibrates my hand. I don’t sort of hate it, I just hate it. I can’t believe this is a shark machine. — I exclusively buy Shark vacuums—I’m a big fan. I was excited to try this model, and while it’s solid overall, it’s not my favorite from Shark. Pros: ✔ Large Dustbin – Fewer trips to empty it, which is always a plus. ✔ Long Cord – Covers a good amount of space without constantly switching outlets. ✔ Smooth Maneuvering – The swivel steering makes it easy to navigate around furniture. ✔ Sturdy Build – It feels substantial and well-made, not flimsy or cheap. ✔ Good on Hard Floors – Picks up debris well on flat surfaces. Cons: ✖ Power Didn’t Match the Size – I expected stronger suction given the more substantial build, but it performed about the same as my smaller, humbler Shark model. It took just as many passes—maybe even a couple more—on rugs. ✖ Heavier to Push – The added weight makes it a bit more tiring to use over time. ✖ Vibration Issue – There’s a noticeable vibration while in use, which can get uncomfortable on the hands. ✖ Odor Filter Concern – I didn’t test the odor-neutralizing filter because the packaging advises keeping it away from children and pets, which made me pause and wonder about its chemical composition. Final Thoughts: This is a good vacuum, but not the game-changer I expected. If you prioritize a large dustbin and sturdy build, it’s a solid choice. However, if you’re looking for a major power upgrade over smaller models, this might not be the one.
