Gardetto's Special Request Roasted Garlic Rye Chips 14 oz. Bag

I was planning to make a homemade Chex Mix with this, but then I opened the bag. Somehow, it rather quickly disappeared. As I was the only one home at the time, I'm not exactly sure how that happened. I know the dog didn't do it, because he wasn't on the couch. I know the cat didn't do it, she was on the patio. I think it had something to do with my right hand, but my left hands not talking. My mouth's not saying anything either, except for yum! These are hard to resist, as you can see by my empty bag! :-)

I bought these so my husband no longer has to say “did you eat all the rhy chips??” And I can eat all I want guilt free! This is a big bag! Yum!Forget the gardettos “snack mix” and just buy the rhy chips. Then you don’t have to fish around through all the other stuff to get to the best part of the bag!FYI - When packed for shipping they put it in a box right next to the hard plastic container of dishwasher pods. A good portion of the bag is broken but it’s okay. They are not all broken and the ones that are, are good as broken pieces. I do shipping as part of my job. It would NOT have been hard to protect these from breakage. Pure carelessness.

Gardetto's, Snack Mix, Roasted Garlic Rye Chips are so tasty. They are a firm crunchy chip, very suitable for dips but delicious on all their own.The ingredients list includes: Enriched flour, Rye flour, Soybean Oil and a much longer list of items that are at a 2% or lower level. This product does contain bioengineered food ingredients.One chip is about an inch in diameter and about 25 chips make up a half cup serving. Each half cup serving contains 160 calories, 340 mg of sodium, 9 g of total fat and 1g of saturated fat and 1g of total sugars. On the plus side, a serving also contains 3g of protein. This is a tasty snack but not an especially healthy one especially for anyone watching their sodium intake.Gardetto's, Snack Mix, Roasted Garlic Rye Chips, are a really delicious treat and a tasty way for me to indulge my occasional craving for chips.

Upon receiving this product and reading the label looking at the ingredients, we promply threw it in the trash can! This product is loaded with MSG.Very bad stuff that in itself has no flavor but what it does is dilate your taste buds. I can't believe MSG is still used on food, it causes my wife hideous migrane headaches among other things. If this product cannot stand on it's own without using "flavor enhacers" and other unneeded chemicals detrimental to your health, then they need to rethink their recipes.

HUGE BAG,weighs FOURTEEN ounces!. Tastes great,just like those I've bought in regular stores. And they arrived UnBroken & UNcrushed!. These were packed with a string of puffy protective things,it was about 6&,half feet long!. You can see my whole order and the protective thing. My cat approves too🐈☺!

I've never had rye chips before, and rarely have similar items like bagel chips, so I wasn't sure what to expect. The texture is a bit strange at first, compared to potato chips or nachos. Definitely harder. So it dd take a little getting used to. But the flavor was abundant. Now, that could be a pro or con to someone, depending on if they LIKE the flavor. Sometimes, I actually prefer a more subtle flavor. But these were very tasty, so I enjoyed the strong flavor. Probably couldn't go through a whole bag in one sitting with that strong a flavor, but that is a good thing too.

Almost the entire bag was nothing but Roasted Garlic Rye crumbles, not chips. This was NOT an issue of being mishandled in shipping. The originated in the box this way. You can tell by the was the small pieces are formed. They weren't broken, they were put in the sack like that. They were probably what was left in the bottom of the hopper during the packaging process. I will NOT buy them again. I ended up eating them on salads. They were good that way but not as chips. To make matters worse, I wrote an email to General Mills thinking they would find the feedback useful but I received a condescending note from someone there.

I bought these because these things are always my favorite part of chex mix and I love garlic so I couldn't pass up the chance to try them. I'm very pleased that they ended up being essentially the same thing but with a little extra oomph of flavor! I did not at all find the addition of garlic to be overpowering at all. You can definitely taste it but it doesn't drown out the original flavor. They might be a wee bit harder but the difference is negligible. I would buy them again!
