Converts a 5.1 bitstream source to 2.0 PCM!
This little gem solved a problem I had for quite some time. I invested in a good home theater system with components put together over many years. The system sounds wonderful and really brings movies to life in surround sound but I have developed hearing loss and now watch TV with Bluetooth headphones. My Bluetooth transmitter requires a PCM 2.0 signal and that eliminates the bitstream 5.1 signal to the main system. I want to send a 5.1 signal to the system for surround sound while at the same time, a 2.0 signal to a Bluetooth transmitter for headphones. There is no obvious way to make this work and it was difficult to find a solution. The PROZOR 192kHz Digital to Analog converter did the trick. It is one of the only dacs capable of converting a 5.1 digital toslink signal to 2 channel analog. The audio chain is now a 5.1 bitstream source>receiver and receiver optical out>PROZOR dac>Bluetooth transmitter. An optical splitter could also be used from the source with one side going to the receiver and one side going to the PROZOR dac. It was easy and straightforward to install and is working flawlessly. I appreciate the volume adjustment which allows auracast to transmit at a desired volume to hearing aids when in use. I love it when a plan comes together.

Works exactly as I needed.
I've got a convoluted home theater sound setup with ancient equipment that involves Optical SPDIF. I use optical so I can get uncompressed soundtracks, ( and also for technical reasons, it keeps the rest of the system from detecting that my TV only has 2 speakers, thus only sending a converted 2-channel stereo stream regardless of the source ). My father-in-law has a PHONAK hearing aid audio box that I piggie-back onto my audio split so it can send the audio directly to his hearing aids. This works - as long as the Phonak can understand the signal. A good bit of the time, I'm playing uncompressed DTS, Dolby Digital and all the usual suspects - not usually an .mp3 or .ogg vobis stereo audio stream. So I needed something that would take just about any audio signal and convert it into ordinary stereo that the Phonak can process - and this works like a charm. Had a similar problem with my father-in-law's TV and got another one to fix that problem - works perfectly. His issue was that his Roku audio was fine, but his Bluray player would send whatever audio is on the disc - and that's a crap shoot. He'd get audio on the disc intro or maybe the movie menu - and the nothing on the feature because it was 5.1 Dolby Digital or whatever via HDMI. I split the audio signal again and ran it throught he Prozor to his Phonak - and it works great. DEFINITELY going to keep the Prozor in mind whenever I need to convert audio signals to other formats to stereo via hardware.

Connecting Digital TV to Analog Stereo
I’m very happy with this device. I use it to connect my Sony Bravia 8 TV to a vintage Bang & Olufson equipment. The sound quality is excellent!

rca to optical converter
Unit functions as described. Accessories are functional. Optical cable is fair quality, I upgraded to a higher quality cable for better performance.

Just what I needed.
I wanted to listen to a c d but it had terrible audio over my television, and I needed a way to listen to it with ear phones. This little box, let me hook up my headphones. And also, let me output to my amplifier. So I could play it out through my good speakers. Simple to set up and use, it works perfectly, does exactly what I wanted it for.

Great for connecting newer tech to much older tech.
Used it to connect my 2011 plasma TV to my 40 year old Denon receiver. Works great. Very easy to set up. Instructions are minimal but not really needed.

Work perfectly
I wanted to hook up a pair of Bose headphones to a Samsung TV, which has no headphone jack. This device works very well and I can now watch DVDs with much better sound quality than I had ever heard before. I also got a splitter and two long cables, so two can watch and listen at once. The sound level is also adjustable using the control knob on the device (the TV remote sound level button does not work when the optical sound output is in use).

Didn't work
The first one I received was bad. It did not work! I figured, if the first is bad, probably most are . I returned and asked for refund.

Rekommenderas!

Audio quality are good enough
It's working well, just connected optical cable and changed on my TV LG OLED C3 settings audio out to optical. Working on all audio formats dolby, pcm or dts. For power I connected to one of TV usb connector. According to sound quality in general is good quality. But I download Tidal app to TV and compare audio quality on my stereo audio system from TV with this DAC and my Samsung Note 9 audio out also playing the same songs from Tidal. This phone has very good DAC. So audio from Samsung was more clear and detailed than Prozor. But in general for this price I think Prozor audio quality is good enough and I'm satisfied for this purchase.

Klare Kaufempfehlung!
