I really like this little nail grinder for introducing scared dogs or puppies to the process of getting their nails done with a grinder. It is very smooth and sturdy. It is easy to hold and has three speed settings so you can start very slowly with extra nervous babies and work them up to higher speeds. I love that it makes very little sound at all and I also really like the built in light for doing darker nails. Due to this I would definitely call it pet friendly. It does have a safety cap over the grinder which I ended up renoving because I am a professional groomer and it slows me down a lot, but for people that don't do dozens of nails a day it would probably be helpful. I like the way it feels in my hand and it's got a nice appearance, I've found that it's also got a rather decent battery life as well, I don't have to charge it very often at all. However, this will change if you're doing very long nails because it puts more strain on the grinder. Overall, I am very pleased with this little nail grinder and both me and another groomer I work with have one now.

This is my first time buying nail clippers or a trimmer for my dogs, iv always had the groomers help me but now that we moved we havent found a new groomer yet and their nails needed to be done. Opening the box everything looked really nice, alot better then I expected especially for the price point. The light coming off the trimmer is strong and the grinding wheel wasnt too loud. My dogs were barking at it at first but within 2-3 minutes it was easy to use on their nails and they didnt seem to mind at all. I started off with the clippers and got the longest of the nails, everything else was pretty ok. I used the trimmer after the clippers to clesn up any edges the clippers made but overall it was easy and i feel i can confidently do this myself with ease now. The only reason this product isnt getting 5 stars is because it makes a mess with the nail dust and the area that the dust shoots out thenside i feel like could easily have a small plastic container for capturing the nail dust and then you can just empty it after each use. Besides the mess the trimmer worked great and the nail clippers we also easy to use and cut great without and damage to their nail. One cool feature on the clipper is a small guard that helps make sure you dont clip too much. Also the trimmer grinds the nail down super well but i touched it with my skin and it did not hurt me so its pretty safe while also working great. I would recomend this for sure and would buy again if i lost this set and needed another tomorow.

When she was a kitten, my cat used to let me cut her claws fairly easily. Then my husband got the brilliant idea to put "soft paws" on her claws so she couldn't damage furniture, and from then she was totally traumatized. Ever since, cutting her claws has become a two-person job... my husband would grab her by the scruff and I would use clippers to cut her claws. She would fight and squeal and try to get away the whole time. It's a nightmare. I decided to try this device because it was advertised as being so quiet. When it arrived, I turned it on near her ear so she wouldn't be freaked out when I used it, and it absolutely did not phase her at all. I then started trying to grind down one of the rear claws on the Low setting while she was napping. She woke up and let me keep doing it! After I finished the first one, she decided that was enough and walked away. She then came back and I was able to hold her and do both of her front paws while she sat there and purred. I kept thinking, "who are you and what have you done with my cat?" Her claws were no longer sharp, and the light on the device made it easy for me to see how low I had cut them. There were no little shreds left, just smooth, soft claws. The next day, I did her rear claws on Medium. I figured since those were thicker, it might go faster and it did. Again, she purred while I ground them down, and before I knew it, we were done. It was so easy and my cat didn't become a Tasmanian devil in the process. Including a pic of my happy kitty after it was over. I only have two slightly negative comments: (1) the light did not stay on when I put it on Medium. I don't know if the one I got has an issue or if I did something wrong, but I am checking with customer service. (2) It does smell a bit while grinding, and it leaves nail dust all over. But that happens when I get my nails done, so it doesn't surprise me. It's a small price to pay to not traumatize my cat any more. In any event, all I can say is that if your cat becomes a basket case when cutting claws and you are looking for a solution, THIS is it. Run, don't walk. Order it. You won't be sorry!

We purchased this because my dog has seizures. Due to his seizures, we had to stop taking him to get groomed. Normally we would just clip them, but I found when we clip his nails, they leave his nails sharp. I was shopping on Amazon, and I came across this grinder which also included some clippers. The price was great and not more than the nail grinder I bought myself. Therefore, we decided to try this grinder to help with our dogs' nail sharpness and I’m so happy we did! It took two days to deliver and when I opened the package, I saw on the box that there were three different types of grinders soft medium, and coarse. We decided to charge it until it was time to use it. My dog is a chihuahua and corgi mix, and his nails are not that thick. I did have to let him sniff it as he’s not a fan of foreign objects. First, I turned on the grinder to get my dog used to the sound to avoid scaring him the first time use. The noise isn’t too loud where he was terrified, so it was helpful to just have it run for a little while without it being used on him right away. When he gets overwhelmed, he does have a seizure so we had to be sure this would work. He was not scared of the noise so that was a plus! After about 4/5 minutes we felt he was ready for us to use it on him. We started on the lowest speed to start with as he’s not the biggest fan of getting his nails grinded. I was skeptical about the level of power and noise this little grinder was going to have. The one I use for my feet is loud and my dog is not a fan. The power was not at all an issue and the noise isn’t as loud for the amount of power it gives. It’s not loud at all and helps with the sharpness of his nails after clipping them. I’m so happy it works, money well spent It took about 15 minutes for me to be done. We only charged it once and have used it twice since there. It is extremely helpful to have at the house a special needs dog! Now he is back to running around and we don’t have to worry about him scratching up the furniture or our bodies. I highly recommend it if you’re looking to do your dog’s grooming at home. Make sure you work with a paper towel or towel, so the nail clippings aren’t getting everywhere. I got my little French bulldog and popped on the soft grinder first. He took an harm to it at all. Just sat there patiently until I was done with his left paw. I would say it took me about 5 to 7 minutes per paw to do a good job. I was done in about 30 minutes. Then try it out clippers. The other dog had some harder nails (Boston terrier). She didn’t care for the grinding too much that’s why I started with the clippers I got it to a really good length before the vein. No flinching or anything nice clean cuts. You may wanna wear some glasses or something like that to protect your eyes from the clippings. After I was done clipping her I tried using the grinder she would let me for about 10 seconds at a time. I made a nice move finish I used the medium grinder on her toes. I’ve got to say that it’s been a huge relief for the dogs now they’re able to run around and I have to worry about their toenails getting caught. I made this purchase for both of my dogs one with her nails and the other was off nails it has been the best purchase you are the clippers and grinders didn’t seem to cut it and this one is definitely doing it the company seems stressless and the products are high-quality. Over all happy with the purchase.

Product update after 1.75 years: I have not used this as much as I would’ve thought. Since my dog has black nails, I am too scared and usually just take her in to get them done. However, I just went to charge it. She has one that needs trimming and I can’t get her in. The grinder is not functioning after being charged. I it shows 25% after charging overnight but will not turn on. I guess you get what you pay for. It’s not bad and it worked when it worked but if you’re looking for something that lasts a while, this is not it apparently. I’ve had other small electronics like this that have lasted a lot longer with a lot more use.

After my friends old grinder bit the dust, I was worried friend's pup would hate the new one. This thing is a game-changer! Here's the good stuff! Great for touch-ups. While grinding down, entire claws takes time (and might test your dog's patience). This grinder is fantastic for smoothing out rough edges after a clip or in between trims. It buffed away all the bumps on friend's dog's nails, making them much less likely to snag and splinter. It reaches all the nooks and crannies! Even those tricky dew claws were a breeze to grind thanks to the easy maneuvering of the device. Plus, the built-in light was a lifesaver! It helped me see the blood vessels clearly, preventing any accidental nicks. It's very easy to use. The grinder fit comfortably in my hand and my friend said it's comfortable as well and, although bigger handles would be a nice improvement. Changing the grinding heads was a snap, and the included claw clippers seemed sturdy (though she won't be needing them much anymore). My friend's dog actually relaxed while I used this grinder. It's much quieter than clippers, and the vibration wasn't too strong (we just stuck to the lower setting). A few minor things to consider though. Handle size as mentioned, larger handles would be a comfort improvement. Included protective cap has different sized openings for small and medium dogs. The small one worked great, but the medium one made positioning the grinder a bit awkward. Do this outside! This grinder creates tiny nail dust particles that fly everywhere. Using it outside with a mask and goggles is a good idea. Overall, my friend absolutely love this dog nail grinder and so do I! It's made claw care so much easier and less stressful for both of us. Plus, the light is a fantastic feature, especially for dark nails. It's perfect for small dog claws, and while I can't speak to the long-term durability of the grinding heads or battery life yet, the rechargeable design is a big win. Would I recommend this product? Ich habe den Krallenschleifer für unsere Hündin gekauft, da ich mich nicht getraut habe die schwarzen Krallen mit der Zange zu kürzen. Schon nach ein paar Minuten hat sich mein Hund an das Geräusch gewöhnt und ich konnte schon auf niedriger Stufe die Krallen leicht kürzen. Mittlerweile hat sie damit überhaupt keine Probleme mehr und lässt sich problemlos die Kralle kürzen. Zu der mitgelieferten Zange kann ich leider nichts sagen, da wir diese nicht ausprobiert haben aber der Schleifer ist top.

It's been a few months since I've used this as I didn't want to write a review while my dog was still a little unsure of it. But after some training, I can honestly say that I enjoy this product far more than I thought I would. I am always skeptical on buying clippers because my previous ones are a little weak, so having clippers come in a pack that were durable enough to clip my dog's nails was a very nice surprise. Everything is easy to use, the grinder has several modes and it holds a LOT of battery charge to it. I only charged it once in the several months of use and its still going strong so far. I haven't yet had to change the grinding nub and it does a very good job on getting my dogs nails down to a length I like. The only suggestion, which isn't even a concern, is having some kind of guard on the grinder that could trap the dust without hindering the way an individual has to grind their dog's nails. Overall, I am very happy with this product and would recommend it to others.

Wir haben zwei italienische Windspiele, regelmäßig Krallen schneiden ist hier Pflichtprogramm. Mit diesem Schleifer geht das super- er ist leise, leicht, handlich und perfekt für kleine Hundekrallen geeignet. Ob es auch für größere/ stabilere Krallen funktioniert kann ich allerdings leider nicht sagen (unsere Mäuse wiegen knapp 5 Kilo).

Erfüllt seinen Zweck,obwohl unser Hund schreckhaft ist.Ist leise ,und zeigt auch an wann die Grenze bei den Nägeln erreicht ist.Würde es weiter empfehlen.👍
