Amazing book, strongly recommended!

This book is a great place to start if you’re thinking about become an investor. It’s interesting and easy to follow. The audio book is also available in case you want to follow along, or listen to while driving. I got both just for that purpose.

This is a must read for anyone who wants to significantly impact their financial future. It’s exactly as its title describes: a simple, no nonsense, achievable path to wealth. The author’s writing style is enjoyable and he communicates his life changing advice with occasional humour. If you were only able to read one more book for the rest of your life, this should be it!

How can you not like a personal finance book that immediately stresses the importance of "F-You" money in your life? Collins' book contains in a concise and very readable form information and recommendations that you can read in other places just as well, but he does so with humor and with less ideology than others. The story is that the book grew out of letters he was writing for his daughter, and it's not hard to believe. It's great for people who don't want to spend a large part of their life thinking out these things, but want to get on a solid footing with their finances so that they can go out and live it.German readers should be aware of is that it is an American book for American readers - there are whole chapters on saving for old age and dealing with taxes that have no relevance outside America, for instance. Also, if you live in Europe, the suggestions for health care finances and college funds are (morbidly) fascinating, but of little use as well. Collins has the usual American aversion to investing outside the U.S., but he is aware of this bias and discusses it.Even given those "localization problems", I would not hesitate to recommend this book as the first one to anybody looking for orientation on how to start dealing with their own finances. If you only read one book on the subject, make it this one.
