I’m extremely impressed with the quality of this chess set, especially for the price. The box is beautifully made and very sturdy. The pieces feel like wood. I would highly recommend this product.

Was looking for a nice simple set that felt like a step up from basic without being something elaborate or expensive. I feel like this set raises much higher than that bar. The box and pieces are very good quality. It’s exactly what I needed.

I remember being a little girl, I would play checkers with my grandfather all the time. To this day, checkers is one of my favorite games to play with my own family. When I saw this amazing wooden game board set, I knew I wanted to get it. First, this game board set is made amazingly well. The craftsmanship is outstanding and this set is so beautiful to look at. I love that not only can you use it to play your game on, but it also becomes a storage box to keep all the pieces inside of it. I will say that the checks and cheese pieces are a little the same and they are not made out of wood. I was hoping that the pieces would be wouldn't too, but it's not that big of a deal to me. Another thing that I noticed about this game set is that the checkers don't interlock with each other whenever you have a king checker piece. It's kind of hard to keep another checker on top of the other one. Other than that, this game board set is made extremely well and I love the idea of it. I do wish there was some improvement on the game pieces themselves but it's not that huge of an issue if you're just playing it once in awhile.

I bought this for my nephew and he loves it. The colors of the pieces are really bright and colorful and made out of recycled plastic so they're durable but not too heavy. Plus, the box is nice for easy cleanup and storage.

Our set came missing one blue pawn, and the chess board is warped, however the pieces still stand on it - it's just sort of convex, like domed. Amazon is sending a replacement set and now I have to mail this one back in order to get the missing blue pawn, may update review depending on how new set is. I do like the design, and that it's supposedly eco-friendly. However, the manufacturer's website only talks about materials but not about labor practices, so though it might use sustainable materials it is likely made in a sweat shop otherwise they'd probably say it wasn't.

Nice set including the board.

My kids are just learning to play checkers and we were looking for a very basic and modestly priced board. The pieces are smaller than they appear in the photo, but they are durable and easy for kids to grab and play with.

I like this checkers and chess set. You get exactly what is described. I purchased it because I liked the colors of the pieces and it was a good price. It's not magnetic so if you want to take a break and save a game for later be careful not to bump it. The pieces are plastic and a little light. The box is made of bamboo and a decent size. My only critique is the imagery on the lid. It's not appealing in my opinion. Otherwise I received this box set in great condition and I'm happy with this purchase.

My son wanted a travel game and this is perfect! He loves it and uses it often! Definitely worth it!
