Great Product Easy to Install !
This product is fantastic. Thickness for my garage was just right. 1. One Amazon reviewer that made a video on this product used a jigsaw to cut the panels. That was probably the best suggestion ever. I did the same thing and made for clean cuts every time. Little residue was left on the floor from the cuts being made with the jigsaw. See pic of floor. 2. As other reviewers noted not all panels on the garage door will be the same size to cut them down to. Take your time, measure twice and cut once. Use a T-square if you have one. 3. As another Amazon reviewer noted, you may need for garage door company to come out and re-balance the doors due to the extra weight of the foam panels being added. My double door took on an extra 20lbs using this product and the single door took on an extra 10 lbs. You would never know it because of how light these panels are. Pictures below show the Double door WIP and finished, and a closeup of the double door. My only issue was the price point. Roughly $20 a panel which is steep. Very Happy, Highly recommend! UPDATE: 4/18 - I have been going to the garage on really hot days. What a difference these panels make. The panels are cool to the touch, however you can tell how hot the garage door really could be when you touch one of the "L" brackets on the inside of the garage that makes contact with the front of the garage exposed to the heat. WOW what a difference !!!

Easy to install and reduced the chill immediately
Aside from one panel i have yet to install, I'm immediately happy with this product! It's 8° F today so I used my frigid day off to get this project done and even without the last panel in, it's cut the draft/chill in the garage down drastically. If you have an attached garage and your door is not insulated, you need to get this done! I'm glad I chose this kit because it was really easy to install and it doesn't show my imperfect cuts other than the hack job i did around the weirdo handle. It is a little messy, i got foam bits all over, but it was also easy to sweep them all up.

Good Product
Amazon shipped this USPS and the local truck can’t carry a package this big. Why USPS accepts a package they can’t deliver bewilders me. I thought the post office would deliver in rain sleet and snow no matter what? The product itself is good quality. It looks good once installed. I struggled to get them installed without damaging the panels. I do not think that’s the fault of the product but I was disappointed it was not as user friendly as my perception. Again, that’s not the fault of the manufacturer or a problem with the product. My advice, measure carefully, look for garage door hardware that will interfere with the panel even after carefully measuring. Note the difference between the two halves of the garage door, the panels are not all the same size. Be patient, measure and undersize the panels as needed to allow bending and flexing without damaging. It does look nice when done and stops drafts and condensation in heated shop space.

20 panel door in an afternoon!
I was struggling to pick the type of insulation to put on our 2-car door. I'm very happy with the Matador insulation panels. They have a tough vinyl sheet on the side facing out and the channels cut on the back side help the insulation to bend to fit into the slots on each garage door panel. If you measure and cut carefully, you can put the panels in with no air gaps on any side. I used a scrap of cardboard from the box to make a template the size of a window. After I cut the panel for each window, I measured multiple times to place the template where the window would be. It worked like a champ so even the window panels have insulation on them. I used a jigsaw with a soft-material, serrated blade and it made a very clean cut quickly. Matador said you could install this in an hour. That's a bit of an exaggeration, but I was able to install all 20 panels in one afternoon. I definitely recommend this if you are considering it.

For great results take your time. Trust me.
Ok, this is really a project that you want to measure again and again before you cut. It's Styrofoam with a vinyl adhered to one side, so any cut you make, there's little room for an "oops". Also an important note: measure each of the 8 panels of your garage door as you go. DO NOT assume all 8 are the same size. My right side was 46.0" long, and the left side was 44.75" long. My right side panels also needed small notches cut so it would clear the screws on one end. Don't try to force it in thinking "oh it's only Styrofoam and it will form past the screw. It won't. The vinyl on the face will deform if any sheet metal screws prevent you from sliding into place with brute force. I took my sweet time, making sure every measurement was right, and that no screws were preventing any insulation panel from sitting correctly. All in all, full install time working alone was less than 2 hrs. Another note is to get a shop vac to control and clean the mess you'll create. It's going to take me at least an hour just to clean all those lil white Styrofoam pieces! It's too early to comment on how effective this will be at controlling the heat from our garage door that faces west. I'll update when I can. I can however tell you each section of my garage door looks like the panels were in there from the factory. Couldn't be happier visually. I may have to adjust spring tension as it appears the 8 panels added a bit of weight to the door. I'll update with pics if I can.

Great solution
First and foremost, using a jigsaw with a foam cutting blade (like the Festool 493656) *really* speeds up the process and reduces the mess. Second, these are great panels. They're not perfect, but for the price and being a utilitarian garage solution they're a very good solution. I have two doors with five horizontal sections each, so I needed to cut and install panels (and spacers) in 20 total sections. Note that thats a total of 40 pieces, 20 large rectangular panels and 20 narrow inserts to fill the gaps inset behind structural beams. You'll get the idea from the instructions. So, thats a lot of darn cutting so I reiterate my jigsaw+foam blade advice from above. Overall cutting and mounting each panel+insert took about 10-15 minutes once I got a rhythm going. I could have moved faster down near the 5-8 minute range, but I was taking my time for safety, accuracy, and because I was on vacation. One thing I don't love about these is that due to their construction of vinyl over styrofoam they aren't highly durable, so if you whomp one of them with a hammer/screwdriver/bumper it's most likely going to get dinged. I don't know about your garage, but mine is a high-whomping zone, so I expect to have to use some of my spare panels over the years. However, they essentially have to be flimsy because if they were heavier they could interfere with the proper balance and operation of the doors. Bottom line is these get the job done, highly recommended.

Must have for your garage
Must have for your garage. Its helped keep temperatures even throughout winter and summer. It actually looks pretty good and fits perfectly. I used my table saw to trim them and they came out great. Cuts really clean.

Mixed Review
A generally positive, but mixed, review. This is a great - and better - alternative to the fiberglass sheets that sag over time and constantly disrupt the G-Door Sensors (first pic). And once installed, it is clean-looking with (so far) good insulation properties. However: 1) the instructions suck. Probably written (and videoed) by an Engineer who designed this kit, and not by or for a common layman who must install it: the instructions are overly simple and don’t provide precise directions on where to measure, where or how to cut, and the best techniques to use. 2). QC is terrible. One panel was bent and creased right out of the box. Worse, it was a middle panel in the box, not an outer one, so it is evident that it was packed that way - see pics. Also, MEASURE TWICE, CUT ONCE! Especially since these panels are not perfectly symmetric, with curved sides and crooked (not right) angles. And most panels had dinged edges and corners - not too big a deal since they have to be trimmed anyway, but three panels of 16 (two boxes) required trimming in both opposing edges because of the dents. 3). Install, though straightforward, was not as simple as depicted. Two boxes (16 panels) took almost three hours, mostly due to the multiple measurements and redos, especially on the first panel. And be prepared for an early winter! Cutting the styrofoam will create a lot of “snow!” Nice though, once finally installed. A piece of advice: measure each panel mounting location on the door - they are not all the same - my outer panels are wider than my inner ones and the top inner two are even narrower still allowing for the GDoor mounting bracket.

I think mine was a returned one
Product in the box is good quality, but I would bet mine was a return. Different tape on the box and a chipped panel inside. I had to cut these down to fit my door anyway so the chip was a non issue. Has made a noticeable difference to sound transfer through the garage door, and is noticeable warmer when you stand by the closed garage door. Before, it felt almost like you were outside when you stood by the closed door. Now it feels like your mostly inside. I call that a win.

Good item size no good
Kit does not come big enough order the extra large but was only one extra piece. Really required two regular kits

Just a Thermocol sheet.
It’s just a thermocol. No insulation at all. Doesn’t fit properly. Falls down when garage door is opened. Had to put duck tape to keep it on the doors.
