Unfortunately, it is not comparable to the Retro 8bit product. The connection drops some times, and this is annoying because it is unstable. Tried the XBOX ONE, Series, PS4, and PS5, and the same situation.

Instant connection. No lag
The wingman 2 is seamless in its operation. I have a ps2 slim and used a ps5 controller. It connected instantly with the wire for the first setup and afterwards its can be used wireless. I played DBZ budokai 3 and not once did it lag. Amazing product.

So far perfectly responsive with no complaints!
I couldn't find any lag test results online, so I was a little sceptical of the product when I bought it. I'm pleased to report that at least with the official PS5 controller, it works exceptionally well! I play retro fighting games competitively and have tried my hand at speed running in the past - stuff which involves 1 frame links and tricks, so I'd consider myself pretty sensitive to input latency ('lag'). It's genuinely so responsive I couldn't tell the difference. I played for hours and hours over the weekend, including games like guilty gear, mvc2 and gitaroo man. Either I'm getting old and slow, or in this setup with the PS5 controller it is essentially lagless. In any case I don't think the brook wingman will ever be the bottleneck causing lag problems in your setup. I haven't had it long, so I can't speak to its longevity. Functionally this gets a perfect score from me. Other major perk - it is *really* easy to pair with most controllers. It truly is a plug and play device, which counts for a lot in retro gaming. So yeah, I would whole heartedly recommend one of these, and can vouch for its performance with the PS5 controller. Looking forward to testing it with different fight sticks and such too!

Absolutely legendary
I got this to utilize a PS5 controller on my Playstation 2. It does allow for pressure sensitive button functionality, but the shoulder triggers (L2 and R2) don't have a lot of play between light press reading and full press reading. Playing Turismo 4, you can see if you just barely get any pressure on the trigger, it will recognize a half press, but any further and it's reading 100%. I'd been used to the amount of trigger tracking in GT7 that it's really difficult to use the R2/L2 triggers for accelerator/brake in GT4. IT DOES WORK THOUGH. I play wired directly to this adapter from the PS5 controller and I get zero latency and full functionality. This is a FANTASTIC invention.

Amazing product
Amazing product, zero lag, use it with both my PS1 and PS2, can also be used as a PC gamepad. I mean its a complete package.
