GM Genuine Parts 19120840 Windshield Wiper Motor Transmission (Linkage), 26.75 in

This is an EXACT Factory replacement part. Removal of the wiper arms & Grill screen cover is a pain but not too bad. You will have access to the squirrel cage blower motor so take the time to vacum out all the leaves and junk from this area! The Wiper Motor and Transmission will come out as a Single unit after removal of the 3-4 torx screws holding the assembly in place. You will have to pry/pop off the linkage from the wiper motor arm and then RE-USE the wiper motor arm (a short metal plate with a ball socket on the end). Reattach the motor arm first, then attach the new Transmission to the motor arm..Note: You will have to push down pretty hard to seat the new plastic cup to the motor arm ball socket...make sure the plastic cup has a small amount of grease in it (supplied). The whole job took about 1 1/2 hrs including vacuming out the blower motor. Lining up the wiper arms onto the new transmission studs is a bit tricky...make sure the arms ARE NOT TOO Far down towards the bottom of winshield...if you get them off a bit you will have to pry them loose again with a screwdriver and reset them..then tighten the nuts holding wiper arms down. Make sure you attach wiring harness back to motor BEFORE YOU PUT GRILL COVER BACK ON!!Putting the grill cover back is hardest part!Good Luck..You can do this.

I put this on my wife's 2004 Pontiac Grand Am and it fit perfectly, was easy to install, came well packaged, came with all the necessary hardware and works great. Took me a couple of hours to install it. Have to say, nothing like OEM products to make a job easier.

identical to oem part in every way bushings are exactly the same so caution there if you were like me that got this because there arent replacement bushings for the oem part then they may break again in the future. also the wiper transmission arm does not come with this you will have to use the original or get an new one. the bushings require a little pressure to get on the wiper transmission arm but they come pre greased so just take it slow and its a pretty easy assembly. also i installed it to replace my old linkage for a 2004 chevy cavalier works wonderfully.

This fine OEM part saved me about $70 compared to anywhere else. The transmission is very easy to install and does not come with the motor arm; however, you do not need the motor arm to complete the install. You can just reuse the motor arm from the old transmission. I installed this new transmission and put the car back together in about 45 minutes and I'm not a mechanic. The install is very easy and does not require instructions, nor any special tools. Just make sure you keep the rubber garment from the motor arm. That is the only piece you will reuse. Overall, I would highly recommend this product to anyone wanting to properly fix their wiper transmission issues.

This does the job and costs a fraction of what the dealer was going to charge me. I had no idea that such things would be so much cheaper online. Now if only I could find parts for everything else that is coming apart on this car I would be supremely happy.Edited Review;Now I am not so happy with this part. Here we are just over nine months after installing this part it has already broken and is in need of replacement again. While the original lasted for 10 years this replacement lasted only nine months, not so satisfied as I once was with this replacement part.

This gizmo is a knockoff of the GM OEM at a fraction of the sticker prices. It is used as a connecting bar between the two windshsield wiper motors on a 2003 Oldsmobile Alero sedan. Since the Alero is no longer manufactured, there were not many sources of acceptable parts available, but thanks to the knockoff manufacturing schema my wife can still keep driving her classic car.

This product failed not too long after a year of having it, so it fell outside of the manufacturer warranty period. I only drive the car a few times a week, so I estimate that the time of operation on this piece of equipment to be 6 hours or less over the past 14 months. Disappointed.

Fits my 05 sunfire perfectly, just do yourself a favour and take a pic of old one before you take it all apart cause when you think you have it right it might be backwards... great product.

It’s been in for about a month and all is well. Great price for OEM product, significantly better than local. Looks much heavier duty than off brands.
