Huge performance improvement over standard flame tamers
These did arrive bent all to hell on the corners, but I'm a pretty simple guy. It's going in a grill, and it's going to get nasty. I bent everything straight to the best of my abilities and put them in there. Perfect fit. Made a huge difference on my outdoor kitchen grill. I don't know how long the stainless on these will last, as it doesn't seem like a super high quality stainless, however the difference in performance from these ceramic briquettes is astonishing. I used to struggle with very narrow hot spots, and while I still have hotter areas with these, they are MUCH wider and easier to work with now. I can cook a lot more food effectively without needing to constantly move things around. These radiate a TON of heat as well, and make for much better searing. Process is a little different, you have to preheat the grill longer as these need to absorb the heat to work effectively. Once they get going, they stay nice and hot. Temperature adjustments are much less immediate though, so take that into account as well. They self-clean pretty well, and because they're so wide it actually keeps the innards of my grill much cleaner. Drippings/droppings fall directly on these and burn up, rather than into the cavity of the grill. They basically cover the whole grilling space. After a cookout, just heat them up to max and everything burns off to carbon. My grill came with the standard steel flame tamers, which are porcelain lined and never seem to last long. Switched them to stainless ones, which also didn't seem to last long -- probably some cheap version of stainless -- but they rusted out too. Switched to these and -- like mentioned before I don't think the stainless is of very high quality on these either -- I suspect they will last longer than the previous items I've tried. Time will tell, but I would buy again regardless just due to the improvement in my grills performance.

Big upgrade for my 10-year old BBQ Galore Turbo STS. Brought it back to life!
BACKGROUND - I'm one of those people who never seems to quite get it right when it comes to retrofitting an older device, appliance or piece of equipment with a replacement non-OEM part. Well, this time I nailed it and these replacement ceramic briquette trays get all the credit. I have a 4 burner BBQ Galore Turbo STS grill that is at least 10 years old (was here when we bought the house so I don't know the true age). The grill has been cleaned out several times, had the starter/ignitor replaced twice and the propane hose replaced once. But I had never replaced the original rectangular ceramic plates that sat just under the grill grates to distribute the heat. Two of them had cracks and they just seemed ripe for replacement. After reading reviews here about these briquette trays and taking measurements I bought a 4-pack. It took 5 minutes to swap out the old single piece tray and ceramic plates to replace them with these. With one exception, they were a perfect fit inside my 26" wide 4-burner fire box. The one CHALLENGE - The one exception/challenge is inside the grill on the right side towards the front where there is some type of metal tube or air flue that runs up the side. It seems to be screwed into the grill and I didn't want to remove it or try to modify it. (I circled it in one of the three pictures I attached). It interferes with the ability for that last tray to fit inside. My solution was to remove one briquette in the area where the tube would come up and use some pliers to bend the metal of the tray to create room for that tube to fit thru. Pretty easy for a guy who isn't very handy. NOTE - One other difference to note is that these trays sit a little higher in the firebox than the originals. The briquettes will now be a little closer to the grates so there could be some increased flareups, although I haven't really experienced much of an increase. In my opinion the better heat distribution from the briquettes is worth any trade off in potentially having more flareups. BOTTOM LINE - These trays have completely revitalized my grill. I was thinking about replacing the entire grill but for about $75 in new trays I think I've put that off for a few years. My grill now gets hotter faster and the heat is much more evenly distributed than with the previous rectangular ceramic plates. You can probably tell how even and symmetric the distribution of the briquettes is in the second photo I posted. In fact, the improvement has been so significant that I'm still retraining my brain to forget where the old hot spots and cool spots of the grill were since that has all changed. I'll plan to update this review in a few months after I've cooked on it many more times with a variety of items.

Stainless Steel Briquette Trays
My grill has two burners, so the cooking area is smaller. We had to cut the Stainless Steel Briquette Trays to size—shortening them by about two inches. The result was exceptional. I’ve already used them to cook, and the heat is definitely uniform and retains heat for longer. The packaging could be improved; the trays arrived slightly bent inside the box, but we didn't mind since that was the section we ended up cutting off anyway. For the price, I really recommend them. Check out the photos!

Captain Cook grill resurrected with clay briquets
My Captain Cook grill was completely burnt out, so I decided rather than buy a new one, I’d resurrect the old one. The old part was burned all the way through and needed replacing. These durable briquets with holders dropped right into place in seconds. They function to evenly distribute the heat from the gas flames throughout the grill area. Now my grill functions perfectly!

Good fit – question durability
Good fit for grill master BBQ. Only concern is the metal seems thin and I expect it will burn through and I would have preferred. They use some heavier gauge metal.
