Q: Is there an adapter to fill these with a 1lb tank?

Yes, you still use the adapter for 20 lb tanks and add a 20lb to 1lb adapter. This is readily available at your hardware store and it's purpose is to allow you to hook up a 1lb propane bottle to your BBQ for when the 20lb runs out in the middle of a cookout. Sometimes called a "Steak Saver" HTH

Q: Is tank suppose to leak gas after the bleeder valve is closed after filling?

No it should not leak after filling. But the smell of propane is strong give it a minute after filling to air out.

Q: Why is it called a 1/4lb tank? It weighs half a pound empty and only holds about 1.5oz of propane.

It hold 50 grams of propane. I have filled two of these containers multiple times and 50 g is how much propane can be held. I have a YouTube viewer that independently verified the weight. The claimed 3.85 ounces is approximately 100 g which is double the actual capacity. Maybe the flame king company and explain. For fun I filled up one of these tanks with butane, and I weighed the fuel as 65 g.

it is a screw on head, the same as standard 1lb propane bottles to screw onto propane torches and anything that takes those
