Is this the same as a RX Vit D

My doctor wrote an RX for 50,000 I.U. the Giant Eagle near my home filled my RX with Biotech product and charge my $5.00 for 8 pills. As you can see Amazon seller supplied me with 100 for $20.00. I went to see my doctor if fact yesterday, and told him of my finding to which he said "yes, it's the same". The RX was for my insurance company .... I think that 0.20 cents a pill, is a lot better than 8 for $5.00.But let me get off my soap box and say YES, it's the same. But to be safe ask your doctor.Have a Happy Thanksgiving. What are the ingredients?

50,000 IU Vitamin D3 12,500% Daily Value; other ingredients listed Microcrystallin cellulose, gelatin capsule (Kosher and Halai cerified). Manufactured by BIO-Tech Fayetteville, AR 72704 www.BioTechPharmcal.com I take one capsule once a week and once a day for 3 days when I have an infection or something. Hope this helps you

What is the difference between D2 and D3?

I am not aware of the product D2. I take the D3-50 which is a dose of 50,000 IU of vitamin D.

is the vit a soft jel or pill

It's a small, soft capsule. If I am not mistaken, it is in powder form inside, but it is VERY easy to take.
