No Eye Can See (Kinship and Courage Series #2)

This is the second book in the 3 book saga. I just totally loved the first book so much that i bought the next two books. I will have to honestly say that I almost did not finish this second book. I really enjoyed reading about the next chapter in the lives of the women and their struggles-the author is really good at bringing out personalities in her characters and human nature and families. What I didn't like was the "bad guy" character Zane-he was really not a nice person, evil, manipulative and there was so much of him in this book. and in the end we don't know if he died for sure or some how survived-in the end I am thinking the author did her job with this character but it almost kept me from finishing the book as I disliked him so much.

The whole selection of Jane Kirkpatrick's novels are good. I could not put this down and if you want even a better one, "A Sweetness to My Soul" is tear jerking. All Mrs. Kirkpatrick writings are fantastic. Please be sure you read her writings that are series in the right order. I got to meet her, what a pleasant lady.

All the characters were flawed, but they grew to love, trust and respect each other. They were bound together in kinship as they became like family and as they watched each other courageously conquer and overcome adversity. It is a great book if it makes me flinch, breathe faster, stop and reread. And it did!

This is one of the best series I have ever read. It told a great story without being too sweet and without a bunch of trash and language, but with plenty of reality. It gave me a whole new appreciation of the tremendous amount of courage and determination it took to settle this nation. They faced hardships that I had never envisioned and had to creatively deal with so many things that we take for granted now. I would recommend this series to anyone!

The characters are very well drawn as were the individual story lines of the main characters. The ending was a bit abrupt with the story of the villain some what unresolved but I definitely would recommend the book to a friend.

Our book club read this series! What great conversations we had. The writing was so visual, you could picture what the characters looked like, how life would be on the trail. I appreciate Jane's writing because it has depth to it. I appreciate how she takes a little piece of a person, researches, and takes liberty to share about them. So the fiction has some truth about it and we learn something! Our book club will continue to have Jane's books in our cycles of reads!

I absolutely loved it! This book was filled with adversity, adventure, rabies, kidnappings, and love, not to mention some new characters that we get to gain perspective on. I am eagerly looking forward to the next installment. A definite recommend. Again, like the first book, this one speaks so much to the character of God that it has given me deeper insight on a number of issues in my own life. This book is purely wonderful.

I fell in love with the women in this series. I now have the first, second and third books. I am trying to buy the entire series, but they are expensive for my budget.
