Great result
Fitted to a very old classical guitar. Quite a difficult install as the sound hole was very small and my hands are big. It was not quite as easy to fit as the mini due to no bridge plate for guidance, but as suggested drilling two holes and I dropped large paper clip in L shape so it didn`nt fall through. I used the putty from the mini install to stick the pickup to my gloved finger which worked better than the tape. Slowly, slowly, got there in the end . Two brace strips stopped a perfect fit, but the end result was fine. Not to much contact noise from the surface, as the body is quite thin. Nice nylon sound. Quite amazed at how loud these pickups are for passive. Highly recommended.

K&K Pure Classic
I've installed quite a few K&K pickup systems in the custom steel string guitars I build, and they are definitely one of my favorite rigs, because they are the essence of simplicity, they sound great, very natural and organic, and they don't have even a hint of hum.Recently, I built a nylon-string hybrid guitar for a client who already has another of my guitars, with a K&K installed. He asked me to put a K&K Pure Classic in his new guitar. When I tested it out, I got the same result as with the Pure Mini passive system: Very natural sounding, super-easy to EQ, zero hum... In other words, EXCELLENT.Ordering through Amazon, the price was well below full retail, and the shipping took only three days.I will be back for more!

nice pickup
I'm not a classical guitar player, more of a jazz/rock player with 22yrs experience and typically play my ES-335. but i've always loved the sound of a nylon string guitar.this is my first pickup purchase for a nylon string guitar. it was recommended by a guitar tech and gotta say i really like it. i was a little apprehensive at first being worried the tone wouldn't come out, but it sounds great; more responsive than i thought it would be.

Disappointed in the Muddy Sound from the K & K Pure Classic Pickup
I have an intermediate classic guitar -- a Yamaha G-245S. It has adequate projection as a classical instrument for home practice. I have been looking to upgrade for small venue performance. First, I thought I would put a pickup into the guitar to see if it could be used for performance. The K&K Sound Pure Classic pickup was recommended and Amazon had the best price for the pickup. The pickup was mounted by a technician who had installed many K & K Pure Pickups for acoustic steel string guitars. Once the Classic version was installed, I tried the guitar in the store using a Fender Acoustic Junior GO Guitar Amplifier. I had been trying other acoustic-electric guitars on the amp. Every guitar (Taylor and Martin classic guitars) sounded great. My newly 'electrified' guitar had only bass. ONLY BASS. The treble strings were entirely absent from the amplified sound. The three-knob EQ on the Fender Amp was not sufficient to permit enough bass suppression and enough treble enhancement to give the guitar any treble pop. Only massive bass feedback resulted from any increased volume to hear my treble strings!Very muddy sound. The Yamaha does have a cedar top, which is mellow, but the K & K classic pickup was nearly useless for direct amplification. I had to buy a 10-band EQ MXR to provide any reasonable balance sound. It still doesn't give a quality treble experience. It may be the fault of the installer, though he suggested the K & K classic version probably was more mellow that the K & K pure pickup that he was used to installing.I am out about $400 for the pickup, installation, and EQ. The sound is still unsatisfying. I am probably going to sell the guitar and find a better acoustic-electric alternative. The goal is a guitar that satisfies during the quiet acoustic practice time and the amplified performance events. The current guitar and pickup situation is not sufficient for performance. I performed 20 years ago on a similar classic guitar with a Fishman saddle-bridge pickup with much better sound than the current K&K installation.Disappointed.

Natural Sounding Tho a Ton of Bass
But really a lot of low end rumble I had to add a band EQ along with the acoustic preamp EQ, darn near have to take out all the lowsHowever it’s a nice sounding pickup and a whole lot cheaper then buying a new electric nylon

These work.
Slightly tricky installation but now my first guitar is brought into the modern day after 40 years playing it. These work as advertised. I recently installed a pure mini in my other acoustic guitar also. Great pickups.
