A118-C 1080p HD Car Dash Camera with Capacitor G-Sensor 1.5" HD Screen 170 Degree Wide Angle Lens Records at 60 FPS with Loop Recording

Bought this dash cam for peace of mind in case we were ever in an accident. I chose this particular product over some of the other dash cams because this was very discreet sitting right next to the rear view mirror. It has a slim profile and camouflages well with the rear view camera. Installation was simple, and I managed to wedge the cable around the side of the windscreen, under the passenger footwell, and down the centre console into the cigarette lighter. Once plugged together, and a sd card entered, it was able to record right away. I am fairly happy with the quality of the images - quality was good enough for me to pinpoint where exactly my meet and greet airport company asked my car near Heathrow. Note it wasn't entirely clear to me what the capacitor did, but essentially it retains some charge so that there is enough battery to save the data to the sd card when you switch off the car. I'm happy with this product and have no hesitation recommending this on.

I have spent a long time looking at dash cams and whilst they have come in all shapes and sizes this is the one that suits me the most mainly because it is hardly noticeable from the outside. Front seat passengers are not even aware of it .Because of its shape and small size I was able to fit the camera behind my rear view mirror and never once has it obstructed my view or distracted me from driving. It comes with quite a long power cable which I was able to feed into the headlining and around the front pillar, behind the glove box (using an old cable tidy to gather up the excess cable) and plug it into the power outlet connector. The play back video is great - it will play back using programs like VLC but it's best to download RegistratorViewer especially if you have the gps dongle. If you do not have the gps dongle (about 12GBP) there is no Map tracking on the viewer. I've had the product for two months now and it's used everyday and I like it so much that I am about to purchase another for the rear window. Recommended.

Bought this for my son's VW Golf as he is a young driver and we both wanted piece of mind provided by a dash cam. This particular dash cam is great. He hardwired it into the fusebox which was extremely easy to do using a fuse piggyback kit and once fitted, the dashcam is hard to see from the outside - its certainly a very discrete looking thing! There were a few teething issues but that was mainly to do with SD cards being corrupted (not the dashcam's fault but the SD cards being fake!) Overall very happy with this purchase and it looks OEM, unlike those dashcams that use a suction mount on the windscreen!

The camera started recording ok but after a few minutes the recording would stop and the unit had obviously crashed (displaying a purple, blue, green or black "screen of death"). The camera can be reset but after approximately the first 8 attempts even the reset function did not reboot the camera, leaving it in a locked state with a black screen and the only sign of life was the power light. The instructions are just about usable, but the buttons and controls are extremely unintuitive. Overall a very poor quality item, which I returned for a refund as I dare not risk a replacement for an item that malfunctioned in the first few minutes of use.

It’s a good camera but the lack of instructions is a problem. It would be helpful to add an SD card or explain that the SD card needs to be formatted before use. It would have saved some time.

This little dash cam is fantastic. I read a lot of reviews and watched countless videos on YouTube before I made a decision on which dash cam to buy. This has everything I needed. Great quality video (not exceptional) loop recording, doesn't look like a cam pointing out of you window, which I definitely didn't want. The power lead is a perfect length for my vehicle, after tucking it in to the lining you would hardly know it's there. All in all very impressed with this camera, would highly recommend it.

Seems to work fine for the most part but has issue where it restarts one or two times when ignition is started so hopefully it isn't a problem in the long term. Edit: Camera now repeatedly restarts while driving and is just over a year old so disappointed concidering my main viofo cam works perfectly. I would recommend getting something better for a rear camera

After searching the web and looking at many cameras I chose this model. It's a Great value,Good quality unit. I found it easy to install &set up. I would suggest operating your wash/wipe to give you a guide line on the windscreen as to the top of the area covered by the wipers.(you need to ensure the camera lens is below this) I would recommend holding the camera at the indended position on the windscreen & video for a few seconds then play back the image on you pc to check you are geting the best view of the road ahead with the minimum of the dash & windscreen edges showing. Overall a good little unit.

il y a un long fil à brancher sur l'allume cigare. la notice est en anglais. elle n'a pas du tout la fonction détecteur de mouvement que je souhaitais et ne fonctionne du coup que quand la voiture est démarrée. aucune utilité pour moi qui voulait surveiller ma voiture en mon absence. Erreur d'achat et trop compliquée à installer. Elle va rester dans un placard. et mes voisins pourront toujours détériorer ma voiture snif snif

Excellent dashcam! There are a number of things to love about this dash cam. If you are wondering about whether or not a dash cam is a viable option, consider the following scenario: You are involved in an accident that is clearly not your fault and the other driver admitted as much at the scene. During the police investigation, the other driver changes their story, and now it is your word against theirs. An additional witness would be nice. That is the best reason for a dash cam. However, if you like racing on the circuit and want to review your driving to see how you could improve your times, then a dash cam is a great way to review your handling of the course. The SpyTec camera is a great way to keep a record of where you have been. It loops continuously, and creates files over a 1, 3, or 5 minute interval, and combined with a 32 GB card, you have about 5 hours single record (obviously if it loops, it will re-write) of HD video. It also offers a mic, although I don't use it, a GPS hook up for a SpyTec antenna, and a small screen for use inside the vehicle. Although - it is difficult to see. The fact that it uses a capacitor for power means that it needs continuous power via USB (the mid size connector). This is not as onerous as it sounds because the camera is so small that you won't have any problem running to to wherever you think is best inside the vehicle. I found on my car that the suggested placement behind the rear view mirror actually works best. The camera offers great video quality even when transitioning from bright to dark and back again (eg. entry and exit of a tunnel). A great product, and a great price. Very pleased.

Es la primera cámara que no me da problemas. Tenía varias chinas baratas pero esta es la primera que de verda graba en HD y funciona como dice que hace. Solo una vez se me quedó bloqueada durante un mes en el que no me di cuenta y posiblemente fuera por la calidad de la tarjeta de memoria que no era suficientemente rápida. Como hoy todos los coches llevan sensores en la parte central superior del parabrisas, esta cámara queda muy bien disimulada como otro sensor más y nadie se percibe de su instalación.

La camara está hecha para que la instales y te olvides de ella. Tiene un perfil bajo, casi no se nota, lo cual es bueno porque a mucha gente no le agrada que la grabes en video aunque los conductores lo hagamos por nuestra proteccion. El video es bueno sin ser excelente; sobre todo las grabaciones nocturnas no son tan buenas como la de otras camaras que he visto. Pero por otro lado el precio de ésas otras camaras es de como mil pesos adicionales mínimo. Considero que por el precio es un buen producto. El envio fue por el servicio postal de USA y all llegar a Mexico Mexpost lo envió. Se tardo casi un mes pero si llegó.

Arrivata in tempi rapidi, ottimamente confezionata, completa di molti accessori utili (ad esempio un adesivo di ricambio, di un materiale 3M non facilmente reperibile, alcuni fissacavi, ecc.) funziona perfettamente. Di piccole dimensioni, si posiziona senza problemi anche grazie all'obiettivo regolabile in angolazione, in modo da essere poco notata dall'esterno (a differenza di altre, con ingombranti attacchi a ventosa). Buona qualità dei filmati, rende bene anche di notte, senza aspettarsi miracoli, e contro sole, senza soffrire troppo i passaggi repentini "luce / penombra". Il menù è ricco ma le istruzioni (in inglese) potrebbero essere più esaustive. Attenzione a modelli molto simili (qualche differenza estetica e componenti interne inferiori), di minor prezzo ma con recensioni più critiche.
