Quality product - solid, versatile and value for money.
This product is easy to assemble and reassuringly heavy, without being cumbersome to carry. You can also fold it down to a good size to transport without taking it apart. It is sturdy and Completely safe to sit a laptop on. You can tilt the ‘table top’ without worrying about your laptop falling due to the ‘lip’ on it that keeps a device securely in place. I use it with my MacBook. I can use the tilt of the screen and the ‘table top’ tilt together to get the best angle for my web cam set up. Perfect! And all for under £25 - amazing value!! Don’t waste your time or money paying £80 for something in the worry this won’t be quality! It is!

Very sturdy and heavy
Very sturdy and heavy. Still need to work out how to swivel the top plate downwards which looks fiddlier than it needs to be. As with a lot of these stands, the top plate is buffered in on all 4 sides to protect the laptop, but this means that USB connections into the sides don't fit. Got round it for now by sitting the laptop on a jiff bag to slightly raise the laptop enough the plug things in, obviously this is not ideal!

Great laptop stand for a bargain price
Bought this as I was missing my standing desk while working from home. Was anxious about how sturdy it was going to be - but there was no need to worry. It's heavy enough not to have to worry about it falling over in a stiff breeze, and light enough to pick up with one hand and move into another room. The only downside is that there's no locking mechanism on the tilt knob on the main table, so in theory it could work loose enough to tip and dump my laptop on the floor - but I've just resorted to reaching under the table while I'm working and tightening the knob to appease my paranoia. But there's been no accidents so far after about two weeks of work, typing on the laptop all day.(NB: While you can assemble the main stand just fine with no tools, you do need a wrench to tighten the bolt while putting the mouse tray/arm combo together.)I recommend this if you're after a standing desk replacement that doesn't cost the earth.

Not good enough.
This is really not good enough. The top platform of mine was bent on arrival and sloped about 10 degrees to the right. I've bent it back into approximate place, but the small amount of force needed to do that does not fill me with confidence that this is a sturdy support for my 15" Macbook Pro. The mouse shelf is a waste of time. I also have the Gorilla laptop/ projector stand for my 17" HP Elitebook - that is a much more sturdy piece of work, and a few pounds cheaper (£17.95 at the time of writing). I really should return this, but I need it for a gig tomorrow - hence me buying this Prime eligible item instead of another Gorilla. I would definitely not recommend it. Buy one of these instead: Gorilla Professional Event Conference Hotel Tripod Laptop Projector Floor Stand

Not as "sturdy" as other reviews would imply.
The tripod & pole certainly IS sturdy, but the two shelves are made out of the thinnest possible pressed steel & the "mouse mat" shelf will not hold any weight at all without bending like a very mobile leaf.It does the job that I want it to do very well. That is, to stand quietly in the corner of my practice area with a laptop on the top so I can play along with videos or other people on the web cam. I would not feel confident about its stability in a gig setting or even in an area with people moving about.I've got a pair of laptop speakers and hoped to put them both on the mouse shelf, but it isn't strong enough to support them both (& is struggling with one to be honest) though the surface area is very good.Mine too had a scratched top, but you don't notice that once a laptop is plonked on it.Given the price, maybe 3 stars is a bit stingy as it does actually do what I bought it for ... but I really would advise looking around & paying more if you want the thing to still be standing upright at the end of a gig or if you want the mouse shelf for more than a remote control!

The leg snapped on first use!
The stand didn’t seem to be that sturdy upon building it and I had some qualms about using it on stage. My fears were confirmed this evening when it fell over on stage, mid song, in front of 550 people. One of the tripod legs simply snapped causing my touch 8 mixer and my sennheiser radio mic receiver to crash to the ground. The stand should have been (easily) able to take the weight of both items.Fortunately, both seem to be ok but I’ll not be using the stand again.I’m going to be buying a much better quality one and I’d recommend that everyone do the same.
