Gerber Leak Proof Bear Grylls Outdoor Bottle available in Black/Orange - 1 Litre

Really impressed with this. First the bottle. Its really strong and can take a real battering without fear of leaking. The opening is large enough to be able to pour at a decent rate and the plastic doesnt taint the taste of the water. It is reasonably big and heavy especially when full and so might not suit everyone. The cup. Really impressed with this, its really light weight is shaped so that it works as a cup for either righties or lefties. It disperses heat really well and can go straight on the heat. The only thing to watch is how hot the cup gets when full and its easy to burn your lips if your not careful. Overall. Really good product and I wouldnt go camping without it now.

A solid 1 ltr water bottle with aluminium cooking cup and case with belt loop. The cooking cup which holds about half a ltr has two handles that extend to provide a firm grip even when full and will sit happily in the embers of a fire. The case has a velcro strap that holds the water bottle firmly in place and a small side pocket (where I keep 4 water purification tablets and a fishing kit as it fits snugly). Talking of fitting snugly, if I could ask for one thing to be redesigned with this product it would be the width of the mouth on the water bottle as on one very cold night I decided not to venture outside the tent for a pee but instead try the water bottle and it was, err...not accommodating! This doesn't stop me from giving it a full 5 stars though as it was probably my fault :)

Having used this pretty much on every wild camp and hike for the last 6 months, I've found it to be a decent little canteen, despite a couple of obvious drawbacks. Pros: fairly well priced, so far build quality has stood up to a fair amount of use, decent mess cup and nice size. Cons: cover is a bit fiddly, I'd have liked something more MollE compatible, the mess cup rubber tubing soon burns off and there's no lid option for the cup. Mods: I've since knocked up a pretty rudimentary but perfectly functional lid from foil sheets, and wasn't too difficult. I've also taken out the survival guide in the pocket and replaced with emergency oasis tablets. All in all, a decent piece of kit, and I won't be trading in for the BCB system just yet, although I've started building a separate (primary) canteen/cooking pot kit.

I've used the canteen several times. It's very tough. The water doesn't taste like plastic even when it's in the canteen for two days. The cooking cup works perfectly. Avoid the handles being exposed to open flame because they are lined with a plastic cover to avoid burning your hands. The neoprene cover keeps the canteen in it's place. The loop sits on top of the cover and not in the middle so the canteen bumps up and down while on your belt. That for me is a minor disadvantage. I've taken out the priorities of survival pocked guide that sits in a small pocket in the cover and replaced it with purification tabs. Overall a good solid canteen.

A solid piece of equipment but let down by the orange plastic strap that attaches the lid to the canteen. When used, for the first time, by my son on DofE, it broke. Not what I expect when paying this sort of money.

Riduclously good! Built like a tank: holds loads of water etc than other army bottles; solid, secure screw cap, metal pan is substantial an looks as though it does it's job. Just a very good looking (can be carried around in the city) very functional liquid carrier. It just goes to show that these bottles have been for over a century - doing their job of storing water etc - and no one has ever thought of redesigning and updating these things, until now. Well done Bear Grylls!!!

Bought for my son who loved it but after being used just three times the top of the lid came apart from the neck of the lid rendering it totally useless. Now going to attempt to get it replaced - I want nothing more to do with Gerber really but my son loves anything BG related.

This product consists of a 1-litre canteen made of thick plastic, an aluminium cooking cup and a neoprene case with a velcro closure. There's a belt loop sewn into the case and a very small pocket on one side containing a copy of Bear Grylls' survival notes. You can squeeze a blister pack of water purification tablets into the pocket if you take Bear's leaflet out. The top appears to be watertight so far, no leakages yet. The lid is attached to a piece of plastic so that it won't get lost.

El comentario de Joan Codina me ayudo a decidirme y la verdad ... un 10. Me ha pasado alguna vez que compras un producto por la foto que ves en Amazon y luego te llevas una agradable sorpresa. En este caso porque en la foto no se ve la fantástica funda de tela con hebilla de tela para poderla sujetar con total seguridad a tu mochila. Fuerte y resistente, con su taza de metal ya no puedes pedir más. Calidad de Gerber, diseño de Bear Grylls a muy buen precio. Sobre Amazon ¿que podemos decir? Envio puntual, embalaje perfecto. Un 10 como siempre. Partidazo que le estoy sacando a la cuenta Premium jajaja

Que les puedo decir de los productos Gerber de la línea de Bear Grylls todos me encantan excelente calidad alemana y un muy buen precio me gustan todos y en su momento iré comprándolos por colección. muy recomendables para uso en camping

Yes I watched that insane dude drinkin urin and sleepin in camels - no I did not wanna be a bear grylls equipment dude either But I gotta say Gerber did a good job designing this product - I kinda like the cover itself ( take a marker and black out name ), light, tough, good tight fit ( maybe a little TOO tight ), strong enough to hold full canteen without floppin around, secure fit to belt Kinda like the cup too - well made, boils water well, nice grippy handles, folds up nice n tight, big capacity And I kinda like the canteen itself - huge water capability, nice feel in hand, NO LEAKS, at all ( put real hot water in it, let it sit, no leaks - put it in freezer, let it thaw, no leaks ) Did a little renovation on cap - not that it leaked at all but plastic piece that holds cap to canteen had to go - an earlier reviewer had a great idea of cutting off bottom piece, cutting connection in half and drillin a hole in left over top part and using paracord as a cap to connection - kudos dude If you don't wanna seem like a "little bear" cub n hearing the jokes on the trail, take your blackest black marker and cover up the huge BG that is all over this thing All in all this is a heavy duty, well conceived, high quality, affordable, huge capacity product that was shipped fast, packed well and easily tracked Don't be hatin because of the name - just go get one Reluctant, but 5 stars and 2 thumbs up

底のカップは、マナスル等にも使えそうですが、現在のところ未使用です。 GERBERの製品にはお馴染みのマニュアルとか付いてますが・・・普通に軽くて便利 アルミの方が良いのかと思ったのですがそれ程重くも華奢でもありません 結構単純に頑丈ですので長持ちしそうです。
