Ronseal 35304 High Performance Wood Filler - Natural 550g

Great filler for wood outside. Once mixed you have to use it very quickly before it goes off. You have to use all the hardener as once the tube is opened you cannot reseal it. Does the job and easy to rub down to a good finish

This product works well, even for larger repair jobs on wood. I needed to repair my side gate which had a hole all the way through it, measuring approximately 30cm x 2cm. The filler was easy to mix and apply. I mixed up golf ball sized quantities and filled the hole up gradually after reading other reviews that said the substance set quite fast and this approach worked well. Within 20 minutes or so (on a dry day) the substance was completely hard and ready to sand down. I have just deducted one star for two reasons. 1. When I tried to stain over the product, my Shed and Fence Preserver (which is a good quality brand) just kept running off and wouldn't adhere so I now have no hole in the gate but instead have an odd looking patch! My gate is rustic green so perhaps with hindsight I should I have chosen the dark coloured filler. So you may want to consider this before purchasing. 2. Also, I have about half of the product left and have tried to reseal everything and make it air tight but it was so difficult getting the metal lid/insert off the top of the can when I initially opened it that it dented slightly when I prised it off with a screwdriver. I am therefore not sure if the remaining product will be usable next time I need it . . . time will tell.

I have a wooden outdoor bench that needed a lot of tlc. The wood was rotten in so many areas. I'm not a carpenter so I needed a product that would fill the areas where I scraped out, some very deep, but was as strong as wood. This product ticked all boxes. Very easy to use, though be careful it can cure very quickly, if you are doing a large area. Drying time is quick, which means you can sand and paint it, in one day. It is easy to sand down to a smooth even finish. I used a neutral colour as I was painting the bench.

Does what it says on the tin. Do not mix too much at once as it goes hard fairly quickly. Use the rotten wood hardener first.

I thought I would buy 'the best' but not happy that this filler is one you mix (golf ball and pea of activator). It's messy to use, goes off(sets) quite fast and is hard to smooth meaning there is always sanding down. Also, the tin looks big but is only 1/3 full with actual filler. I will go for a less hard, easier to use, filler next time.

I love it. Ok comes has full by weight so don't worry. Use a stiff bit of card as a board and guess how much you need and scoop it out with a filling/putty knife or something then add a small pea size amount of the hardener and mix together. Keep the metal pot closed for next time. Fill away it smells really harsh but fills wood amazing and rock hard and fill as level as you can unless you like loads of sanding. It sands really well and smooth. I used to on a hole in the plaster board too and it set rock hard and on some plastic sunglasses where the logo fell out. I love the stuff just wear a mask.

This this thing is legit and even comes with harder to mix into the wood filler so it really does help with wood issues if you need to fill them
