what is it's heat retention capacity like ?

Hi Roger, in answer to your question,I have found them to be good under normal conditions.If you are leaving a pot on the warming plate for 3+ hours there shouldn`t be any heat loss, but the coffee will not retain the freshness of flavour your customers might expect.If however you leave the pot exposed to cool outside air ( as I have done) the plate struggles to keep the coffee at a good temperature.
