Sorry I don't know it is designed to reduce the output voltage if your speaker has an output voltage of 12 volts it will reduce this to 5 volts which is what apple iPhones and iPods run on

Would this convert my iPod classic to work with blu tooth headphones?

No - it is a charging adaptor. Some older ipods wouldn't charge in docking stations / connected to car stereo etc after Apple changed the connections. This simply changes the connection back to allow it to charge. You would need a bluetooth adaptor that plugs into the headphone output of the ipod in order to use bluetooth headphones.

I have a 1st generation bose docking station, I want to be able to play music from my ipad2 through it, will this device do that for me?

I use one of these with a Auris Skye which has turned my 1st gen sound dock in to a wireless speaker. I've not tried plugging my IPAD 2 directly in to the Layen I Charge as I think it might be too heavy to balance well. I would buy an extension cable to connect the I Charge to the IPAD if it were me.
