101 Really Cute Characters

My 6 year old loves dinosaurs, so I thought this would be a great way of encouraging her to have a go at drawing some... This book is really perfect for it! There is a huuuuuge selection of dinos to choose from - some I'd never even heard of - along with the 'favourites' you'd expect to find. The pages of the book are very simple and easy for a child to follow - each page has 2 different dinos to draw. The drawings are laid out in very simple, gradual stages - i.e. you do the curve of the head, neck and back... then add the facial features... then add the belly, then the legs etc... very simple, very easy-to-follow stages. The final stage is to add 'detail' such as a pattern of the skin, but obviously your child can use their own imagination too for that. Literally on first ever go, my daughter produced 6, very recognisable dinos that very closely resembled the ones in the book - and she thoroughly enjoyed doing it! As the first one came out so well and she realised how easy to follow this book was, she gained the confidence to do more, and that's how we ended up with 6 in a row!! We're still only a few pages into the book, too.... loads more to do yet! I'd definitely recommend it.

This is a lovely book, the characters are easy to draw and the instructions are clear. However I’d say that only 98 of the characters are cute - the other 3 really get on my nerves.

Fairly easy to draw. Lots of designs although some are similar. I would recommend this.

This was perfect for our six-year-old daughter who is really into drawing at the moment. The illustrations are really easy to follow and there is great variety of different characters and animals to choose from. Great value for money

I bought this book for my daughter (age 9) because she often gets frustrated when trying to draw and I hoped that the clear and simple instructions might help. She absolutely loves it and with just a little practice she has been able to produce some lovely pictures. Very impressed!

I bought this for my 7 year old daughter for Christmas and she loves it. It’s really encouraging her to draw cute dogs etc, and I’m very impressed by the results. The step-by-step illustrations are easy for a young child to follow. I would definitely recommend this item.

Nice product for a six year old

A lovely series of books (we have about 4) on how to draw (whatever the subject is). Nice VERY simple steps which could be used from maybe 6 or 7 years old quite easily. My son felt very proud of his drawing which really did look like a cartoon triceratops. A good buy.

Genial. Dibujos preciosos. Los peques eligen cual quieren hacer y van dibujándolo por partes hasta completarlo. Volveré a comprarlo.

Para aprender a dibujar perfecto, eso si para niñ@s hasta 7 años

Little complicated, but for kids to leanr. Paper quality is not that good.
