Do you Ekt for a living?
Personally, I LOVE grain in my film pictures but having a very smooth grain option is cool. Kodak Ektar is so smooth it gives the fine detail look of digital while maintaining the otherworldliness of film. As a low speed 100 ISO it works well in all kinds of light but I would still recommend saving it for sunny days as it can really bring out the blue of the sky while giving high color saturation. Check out my examples below. Most certainly a film to take on holiday to capture scenery or epic moments.

Beautiful colours and excellent grain but not the most versatile
Bought this film at a great price back in December when I was about to buy my go to film, Gold. I knew very little about ektar at the time but after reading the reviews that praised the warm tones and find grain I was completely sold. I can confirm that the film is practically grainless, even beating than portra in the grain department. The tones are indeed very warm, especially the oranges and reds. Unfortunately these tones are so prominent that they will render skin tones with a red hue, which is quite unpleasant. A great landscape film without question and a good option if you don't want to pay the premium for slide film. I will happily shoot ektar again.

Very sharp, nice colours
This is a very sharp negative colour film. Not suitable for skin colours - that's what Portra is for. It also does not have the latitude of other negative films, so needs exact exposure, a bit like slide film. But it has just a bit more dynamic range than slide film has. It does not suffer from a colour cast, it has become my to-go film (with Portra in another camera).

My favourite film
Since I've been using film I have used many different types. After a long time and a lot of experimenting I have come to the conclusion that this is by far my favourite film. It produces warm, sharp, beautiful images. I have used it on professional shoots and for every day use and it has never let me down. I'd recommend this film to anyone. Here's an example of some photos I shot using this film - [...] BUY IT!! You won't be disappointed.
