Russell Hobbs Compact Slow Cooker 22730, 2 L - White

Very pleased. It looks good and is solidly built. Unlike many others, it lights up to show you it's on and has three settings. It's ideal for 1/2 people. It's my first slow cooker so I can't compare it with others and, yes, it is slow, but isn't that what it's meant to be? The booklet gives excellent advice (and a few good menu ideas) and it emphasises that it shouldn't be filled to the top. At about 3/4 full, I can put in braising steak, potatoes and veg and stock/gravy at about 9.00am and leave it happily until I'm ready to it eat at 6.30pm. The warm setting is very useful if you want to wait a few minutes. It's very easy to clean and uses a lot less electricity than my oven.

Neat little slow cooker, works well, perfect for the two of us. If you are buying remember that the top of this cooker is fairly small, diameter approx 16cm by my measurements, so not huge, I did try to put a ham in it but the ham was a little too big. Perfect for soups and cubed meat though. Have used several times now, great for when you are going out for the day, when you can come home and a cooked meal is ready for you.

Bought to use in a caravan/motorhome but have tried it at home first. It took longer than my larger slow cooker to cook a diced vegetable soup but the results were good, plenty for two with some leftovers. The lower wattage could perhaps prevent burning so I will learn to adjust the cooking time or use the higher heat if a faster time is needed. Nice looking, easy to clean, good value.

I love this slow cooker. Works fabulously and easy to use.

This is amazing. Got it while loving away myself but could still make a meal to serve 4 in it. Takes up way less space than the normal ones and much more work too friendly being circular rather than the usual oval shaped ones

I like the white finish which cleans up well. I was surprised by the heavy weight of the ceramic insert pot which comes out of the heating part for serving. A good size for 2 people with healthy appetites.

Russell Hobbs 22730 Compact Slow Cooker, 2 L - WhiteI just received it today with good exception, however when I opened the box I found one side of the pot already rusted. Not sure how this is possible for a new product, but I am very disappointed. Buy other products if you are considering!Since I live in the Netherlands I'll not take the trouble to return it and pay for the post again. I feel the 28 Euro paid is pretty much a waste as I don't believe this thing will last long with such quality.

Good size but a very very slow cooker indeed.
