Everbuild Showerproof Bathroom Silicone Sealant – Permanently Flexible – Anti-Fungal Formula – Quick Curing – Waterproof – White – 280ml

★★★★★ (5/5 - The Seal of Good Housekeeping) Let's be frank. The gaps between your bathroom tiles and fittings are not just aesthetic oversights. They are miniature, dark promises of damp, mildew, and eventual structural lamentation. They are the whispering cracks through which entropy plans its soggy invasion. This tube of Everbuild silicone is not a sealant. It is a declaration of intent. It is a bouncer for your shower tray, a diplomat for your bathtub's edge. The ‘showerproof’ claim is a masterpiece of British understatement—it doesn’t just resist water, it regards it with a cool, rubbery disdain. Application is a strangely satisfying, if tense, art form. The gun gives a firm, purposeful thunk. The silicone emerges in a smooth, forgiving bead that smells cleanly chemical, like a swimming pool that means business. It tools beautifully with a wet finger, transforming from a proud worm into a seamless, concave covenant against leakage. Once cured, it forms a flexible, vigilant gasket. It accommodates the subtle movements of your house without cracking, silently doing its duty while you obliviously enjoy your shower. Five stars. It provides the one thing every bathroom needs: a confident, waterproof silence. My tiles are now joined in holy, mould-resistant matrimony. A small, essential victory against the creeping damp.

I bought this to replace the silicone seal around my shower and bath at home as they had started to become discoloured with mould growth. This is an easy job - plenty of youtube tutorials that will explain the process. Using the silicone from a caulking gun was very straightforward. It set quickly, leaves a neat finish, and so far has not gone mouldy in the last 5-6 years. When the time comes for similar jobs in future I will not hesitate to get this product. Only loses a star as there are cheaper products out there.

I have been repeatedly removing and replacing silicone around my shower (about every 1-2 years) over the last 20 years. I have bought the most expensive in my DIY stores hoping that they would live up to their description ie ease of use, anti-mould etc, etc. Finally I have found a product that, to coin the old phrase, 'does exactly what it says on the tin'. The price is amazingly cheap but not a cheap product. After applying I knew to look at it that this means business-a solid seal. It is a pleasure to get into my shower and be greeted by a clean, white seal which soap and water seem to rinse off with little effort. It is too soon to judge the 'anti-mould' aspect of the product. Will report back after a few months. Mould has appeared on all the other brands I have used in less than 3 months-I am so hoping this will be different.

Great

Easy to use and apply to areas needed, did notice during application a number of air bubbles that caused me to go back over during the application process to removes and ensure the air bubbles found were removed. Application was in a standalone shower. Dried very nice and clear between the glass and metal areas applied, sealed really well. Hardly noticeable unless looking or know where the product was applied.

Happy with this silicone

This silicone sealant is every bit as good as the more expensive ones you’ll find in the chain hardware stores. Like any sealant, it’ll last a decent amount of time if you ventilate your bathroom and give the sealant a good clean with an anti bacterial at least once a week. A little tip for those who find applying sealant tricky, use a wet finger or a little transparent washing up liquid on your finger tip and the sealant will glide. A dry finger will drag the sealant uneavenly. Pros: Affordable - As good as the rest. Cons: - .

Better finish and showerproofing than other items. Very pleased with the result. Application was easy to do.

Funkar bra

Ottimo dire assolutamente consigliato.

Saluti.
