This is an excellent set for beginners and van show you some very good strategies and powerful cards (including effects). Syncro summoning may take a while to understand though. All in all this is one of the best sets to start with. And is powerful without the need to buy extra cards. If you wish to boost it's strength there are lots of options and lots of ways you can take it.
