Kensington Combination Ultra Laptop Lock

This is a sturdy and easy to use security lock for my laptop. I wouldn't be without it. Good Lock!

Pretty good. Obviously a really determined thief could remove any lock if suitably equiipped (e.g. bolt cutters) but this lock protects very well against casual opportunistic theft nand I'm glad I bought it for my student daughter.

I got this and i am really happy with it. Once again amazon delivery is amazing. About the lock, the cable is really strong, the lock looks really well made and with a 4 number combination gives you a huge variety of combinations, much better then a 3 number lock. To open and lock the lock is really easy, you can do it easily with one hand, just choose the combination and press a button and youre good to go. I feel much more comfortable to leave my laptop in the office while i go lunch. Note: this isn't 100% anti theft, this is amazing to dissuade a "regular person" from taking your laptop if the room where it is have more people there. Overall great item, easy to carry, would recommend because i do feel much more relieved.

I bought this as a replacement of a traditional Kensington lock with key, and I have to say I LOVE this one. No more forgetting / mislaying keys, it allows you to set your own number combination, and it's easy to open with and without laptop in place.

Still working fine after 5 years of use. The laminated cable is very stiff so it's extremely hard to store with a coil diameter any less than about 25cm, but if you're throwing it in a laptop sleeve this isn't an issue.

No text instructions, only headlines. Ambiguous and partly unreadable graphical pictures with insufficient detail on how to use the (non-supplied) equipment necessary to set the combination. Maybe it's because I'm not a picture person. No indicated video instructions on internet from company. No indicated other guidance from company. following internet searches I found some customer videos available, for significantly different models, helpful only to a point. No indication of what yellow tab is for. Can change the combination, but only if you go and buy your own external equipment as pictured in instructions. Never mind, perhaps the company's on the edge of chapter 11 so can't afford to include the paperclip in the basic kit. No doubt it's fine for people who've seen it demonstrated or are recently familiar with the company's products. One star because I got it to work. (ok I liked the button when I figured out what it did, but that's counterbalanced by still no having no clue what the yellow tab is for, how to move it as indicated, and what it does when moved) Would have added a star for doing the fundamental job of security, but subtracted again because the best and clearest videos you find on the internet are the ones put up by (presumably) thieves teaching other thieves how to crack the company's combinations in minutes. No idea if the techniques work on this particular model but I'd expect the company to make some statement on which models are secure and which are not. In the absence of that, res ipsa loquitur...

This is one of the strongest locks I've ever seen. It's almost too much for my needs, but I am very impressed with it. The cable is immensely and unimaginably strong, as is the lock which actually seems unbreakable. This makes me feel my computer is safely secured which is great since the computer was so expensive - so worth having it well secured.

Me sirve perfectamente para un Toshiba Satellite. Pero no entra en el agujero de un Dell XPS 13. Por supuesto es culpa mía, ya que debería haber buscado más especificaciones sobre ello. En todo caso, lo advierto aquí: el enganche del candado es demasiado ancho para el Dell XPS 13.

J'ai hésité à prendre ce type de câble pour mon laptop Gigabyte Aero 15. J'avais lu un commentaire sur ce même site qui disait que ce n'était pas compatible pour les Gigabyte. J'ai eu raison de le prendre, car il est entièrement compatible avec mon GIGABYTE AERO 15 i7-8750H. L'épaisseur de la serrure est inférieure à l'épaisseur de mon laptop (ultrabook 1.8cm épaisseur). Donc il est tout simplement parfait ! Je l'ai eu ce matin, je n'ai donc pas suffisamment de recul pour donner un avis sur la fiabilité, la qualité dans le temps,etc.. Je conseille fortement ce produit. Simple et rapide pour configurer son code à 4 chiffres.+

Produit acheté en prévision d'un séjour à l'hôpital, pour sécuriser un laptop. Facile à verrouiller et à déverrouiller, sans qu'il soit besoin d'avoir une clé, et donc facile à utiliser à plusieurs personnes ayant le code secret. L'antivol ne résistera pas aux assauts d'un voleur décidé et ayant un peu de temps devant lui, mais le pari à faire est que cela le ralentisse assez pour que le propriétaire ait le temps d'arriver.
