I have skin that is combination of oily and some dry patches on my chin, proned to breakouts every now and again...Am 42 year old lady, over the years, i have tried all kinds of creams, lotions, potions for my face, from the cheapest to the most expensive in the market, from over the counter products to the GP-prescribed creams and nothing had worked.I also tried and used obagi nuderm for the last 1 year but my face seemed to be the same... dull-looking ...non-glowy skin...I was feeling hopeless not until i read this product excellent reviews.. its called Vit C serum from NEL brand.. i said i will have a go...I am a nurse working on a permanent night shift basis for years and years. Even my housemate who sees me everyday has noticed it. She asked me what have i done to make my face looking- radiant and glowy..This product is really amazing and really WORKS...!!!I used it religiously morning and night before my favorite moisturizer.My acne/brown spot has faded. My wife wanted various anti-aging products for her 2015 Xmas present so this is her review of this serum by NEL (Natural Earth Laboratory) Brands:I wasn’t sure about the effectiveness of this product at first as I found it very watery and so I wasn’t convinced of its effectiveness. The smell also made me feel like I was just rubbing orange juice onto my face. I’m glad to say I stuck with it as I have now been using this product for the last 5 months. I have found it works better than 2 other brands that I have also tried during this time (Baie Botanique Rose Renew Anti Aging Serum & face cream smells lovely but it isn’t nearly as effective in my opinion, and I haven’t noticed any improvements after using OZ Naturals Hyaluronic Acid Serum for Skin).Anyway, back to NEL Brands vitamin C & Hyaluronic Acid serum. I prefer using the pump, and other reviewers indicate this is the better option as it stops the product in the bottle from being exposed to the air, which preserves the vitamin c better. Although it’s watery it does absorb quickly leaving no residue or lingering smell.Most days I use a few pumps in the morning and at night before then applying a moisturiser (I spritz the serum into my hand then rub it all over my face). I’m currently using Age renew day cream with SPF in the morning and Nivea Q10 anti-aging night cream before bed, which is a much richer cream. When I wash my face in the morning I don’t get that ‘slimy’ feeling you get when moisturisers just sit on top of your skin rather than absorbing into the skin, so I know this product is promoting good absorption and penetration of my moisturiser, as it states it does.I am 46 and before using this product I had started to get laugher/fine lines on my upper cheeks underneath and at the side of my eyes. I also found small ‘pinch’ lines starting to appear on my upper lip, and lines were also evident from the corners of my mouth running down towards my chin. I also had a deep line between my eyebrows immediately above my nose. This is the reason why I wanted lots of anti-aging products to stop these effects as I hoped to get botox / filler type results without the cost and invasive treatment. Unfortunately NEL Brands isn’t a miracle worker, but it’s pretty damn close! The vertical line above my nose between my brows is almost gone now, and my skin is much plumper and smoother all over so the lines at the side of my mouth and on my top lip have also gone. I have also always had a lot of freckles on my face and the overall pigmentation does seem to be lighter now so I can use a light tinted moisturiser rather than a full foundation each day for work.When I first started using this serum I put my moisturiser on straight away, which was a mistake. I soon realised I needed to give it a few minutes to dry properly before applying my moisturiser. Doing this meant I could feel a slight tightening sensation once it dried, so I think this must be helping my skin become smoother and brighter. I’ve just finished my first bottle of serum and I will be buying it again as I genuinely think I look younger/better than I did at Xmas, and my daughter has also commented recently on how good my skin looks. I’m happy to recommend this product on this basis.

I've been using this for about 3 weeks and I'm quite pleased with the product:PROS:1. It's got a smooth, silky texture and is easily absorbed by my skin, causing no irritation.2. It has made my skin more radiant and hydrated.3. Competitive pricing: compared to two other serums I bought off Amazon, this is great value for money.4. It's also got a nice, slightly herby but pleasant orange scent.5. Especially worth mentioning is the brilliant customer service provided by NEL who sells the product. They are highly responsive and friendly.6. NEL even offered the option of sending you a pump dispenser, which is really useful and allows you better control over the amount in each application.CON:1. I only have one minor issue, which is the slightly watery texture. Personally I prefer something that is a little more viscous--that's the only reason why it's not receiving 5 stars.Overall, a great product--highly recommended.

I was on the search for an affordable but effective vitamin C serum and all the positive reviews for this brand convinced me to order two bottles to gauge whether this could become a favourite for me. It has. The consistency of the serum throws you off guard at first as it is liquidy but this is what lends support to the beauty of its application- 2 squirts are not only enough to spread out on the entire face but skin feels incredibly moisturised and smooth. This is a welcomed change from other vitamin c serums and lotions on the market which always make my T-zone feel sweaty and skin "weighed down".My main motivation for purchasing this serum was for treatment of post inflammatory pigementation spots. As I was hesitant to try any harsh medical ointments, my dermatologist recommended I increase intake and topical application of vitamin c to help absorb the iron back. I felt this brand of vitamin c was the right choice because it was organic and had positive reviews in terms of evening skin tone. Whilst it is too soon to say whether my marks will disappear altogether, I have noted an improved skin texture and complexion in just 2 weeks. I can also say that my marks are appearing less "embedded" in my skin and more superficial, I am optimistic that this will eventually lead to them fading altogether.I usually have a tendency to get bored of products or switch brands based on hearsay. But this one.. I plan to permanently incorporate in my skin care regime! I am also looking forward to using the Retinol moisturiser by Natural Earth as I understand results are maximised when vitamin c serum is used in conjunction with a retinol based moisturiser. Fingers crossed!Definitely go for this serum and see for yourself that it's impossible to not be satisfied with the results.Ps: smells lovely too!

Updated Review after over 3 years use: I wanted to update my review as not many products have a review after several year's use. I have read what I wrote years ago and I stand by it, I wouldn't be without this Vitamin C serum. I have applied it every day now for years.I am now a few months off 50 and still have oily skin. and rosacea but so rarely get outbreaks that I think this Vitamin C is still helping. SAP is a form of vitamin C which is known to help control acne, although roascea is different perhaps that's why it SAP (sodium ascorbyl phosphate) has helped me as well.A raised keloid scar I have had since 18 that used to be very hard to cover with make up is now flat and so faint that I have to look hard to even see it! I wish I could say when this occurred but the change was so subtle - just one day I was applying make up and realised I wasn't struggling to cover the scar. I still feel tears of joy come to my eyes when I remember that moment - I have struggled with my skin for decades and that scar used to really upset me.I don't think this stops wrinkles but then I don't think anything topical, other than a good sunscreen, can slow down sun damage/ageing.However I do think this has slowed down collagen loss in my skin. Before I started using it I was beginning to get large noticeable shadows on either side of my mouth - I called it the catfish look - but those shadows have significantly reduced and are now just small, faint patches less than the size of my fingernail on my little finger.I like variety in my skincare - this is the only thing I have worn daily for years as the first step in my skincare so closest to my skin. I never miss putting it on and I credit it for these positive changes to my skin, even though I'm approaching 50. If you try it, please stick with it because the improvements over several years use were so subtle that I didn't notice them until I discovered the massive improvement to that scar. That then made me look at my face more closely and I realised the catfish look had gone.Original review: I am now on my third bottle of this Vitamin C serum. I wouldn't want to be without it! This serum has replaced one I was using that was double the price.For people with dry skin - you will need a moisturiser on top. The Vitamin C serum dries within seconds so you can then add your usual moisturiser.For people with oily skin (like myself) - depending on how oily you are you can wear the serum alone and put your make up on top or add your usual moisturiser on top.I mainly leave my skin 5 minutes, then put foundation straight on top. But, even at 46, I have very oily skin. The serum also works well if you want to layer other products on top. If layering I only put ONE of the following on top of it before applying foundation:- A gel moisturiser.- A light moisturiser.- A heavier moisturiser.In all cases the serum has never caused piling, The moisturiser sits well on top of it and I have no issues applying make up.Now to the serum itself. Here are the main benefits I've observed from several month's use:- Brightens and smooths the skin and seems to minimise scarring.Evidence: I have Rosacea and my skin comes out in welts, usually hormonal lay triggered outbreaks. I started using this serum at the time of a bad break out, I was in despair because usually I end up with more scarring as the welts heal. My usual skincare had kept me welt free for months but on that flare up it seemed to be doing nothing. I switched to this Vitamin C serum which I'd bought and forgotten to try! After 3 days the welts were almost gone and when they finished healing I had no scars. My skin felt smooth very quickly. Clearly I'm NOT saying this is a cure for Rosacea, just that it helped to restore my skin to normality when I was having a bad attack.I kept using the serum as I noticed my skin was brighter and 'glowy' and I haven't used my former high end (double the price) serum at all since then. On good skin days I can wear less foundation, though I still need some as I have years old scars and some thread veins.- Great base for make up because it dries fast and never piles.- A pleasure to use as lovely orange scent. This is not overpowering but people who don't like their skincare to have any smell might not like this serum.- It doesn't sting, even when I was having that bad attack.- Reasonable price and good sized bottle. I have always bought this serum at full price and think it's well worth the money. I was paying double for a Vitamin C serum which was much heavier on the skin, sometimes stung and did less for my skin than this one.Downsides:I haven't had any. But someone with dry skin may find their skin feels tight once the serum is dried. That is easily remedied by adding their usual moisturiser.I hope people find this useful. There is no one product that will suit everybody but this one is good value and, especially for oily skins, is worth a try as it dries matte.

I purchased this product of Vitamin C based on the size of the bottle for value for money against the competitors & looking at the ingredients this seemed to be the best for all natural ingredients. The reviews won it over on my decision & ahead I went & placed my order. Within a couple of days here I had it, very fast & informative delivery right from the packaging to the useful note & email advising you that the bottle can leak if left with the eyedropper in & knocked over (to my dismay I found this out after my little girl knocked it over after only a few days! 😡) but they did say! . . After a speedy 2nd delivery (Wow!) And a couple of weeks in, I apply this to my face & neck every morning & bedtime, I am 33 yrs & this summer really noticed my pigmentation on my forehead & upper cheekbones altering revealing dark patches & change I wasn't too happy about. It's rather runny & I liken it to applying pure fresh orange juice straight to my face but it absorbs immediately & is incredibly refreshing. I can't get enough! I have used this for 3 months and have noticed a positive difference in my overall skin tone. With consistent nightly use, I have noticed my skin has evened-out in the main areas (forehead, cheeks and chin), though not under the eyes (I have recently bought a serum for that).I have considered that the brightened, evened-out tone of the rest of my face is making my dark under-eye circles appear darker. I am dissappointed that this serum, though I apply it under my eyes, doesn't seem to be doing much for them, though.I used this serum after applying Retin-A 0.25%, so the fact my skin is hyper-exfoliated may have hastened the results I've see.3 main criticisms are that-the dropper is rubbish, and the pump makes the serum spray everywhere, as it is very viscous. So you lose quite a bit of product merely trying to get the right amount out of the bottle-it does absorb fast however it does make my skin feel sticky after applying. Not a huge problem as a follow with moisturiser and only use at night-the top arrived broken (see pic), which was a cause for concern re: bacteria. I really should have sent it back at that point but I simply didn't have time.For these reasons I'm unsure about whether to repurchase, as the bottle has finished after 3 months. I would like to see what improvements I'd see after 6 months but dissappointed with the cheapness of the packaging.I have not been using the serum for anti-aging purposes, as I do not have wrinkles yet, although I have noticed recently that my deep smile lines are deeper than this time last year, so I guess it hasn't worked to stall the aging process for me! I wanted it to improve my tone, though, and that it has done.

Great size and great price. It has a mild citrus scent and absorbs quickly. It is somewhat watery in texture and cloudy white in colour. I use 2 pumps to thoroughly cover my face but some people could probably get away with 1 pump. I use it in the morning and night after a freshly cleansed face and before moisturizer. I've noticed a brighter complexion and slightly faster healing time from acne. I've noticed my face feels a bit softer to the touch. As for wrinkles and fine lines, the improvements have been minimal but I will continue to use this product. I am on my second bottle (I noticed the price went up). I would say 1 bottle lasted me about 3 months
