2. is the size of this shoe similar to other martens' shoes? i have "dr martens aggy blucher shoe" with uk size 5.

I found the sizes quite generous. My daughter usually wears 7.5 or 8, but bought size 7 in these which are plenty big enough.

The black smooth are like a dull patent leather. You can't polish them like the normal plain black ones.

the size 9UK is (or should be) a perfect fit for a size 9UK foot.. these are classed as a unisex shoe so from size 3 to 8 DMs make them so they fit some women as well as men but size 9 is the turning point where they are a real 9UK mens for fit .. kind regards, Amanda
