Can anybody compare this to a tangle teezer? I want this as a travel version

The bristles are not as fine or firm as a Tangle Teazer as it is intended for use for shampooing and massaging the scalp. Not really suitable for hair brushing. David Noakes, Diamond Edge Ltd.

Does dandruff cause slow hair growth? Does this product clean your scalp if using it with anti dandruff shampoo?

One of the causes of dandruff is by not having a clean healthy scalp. We recommend using Nisim Shampoo to deep cleanse the hair and scalp. This shower brush will help stimulate and scrub the scalp but by itself it many not solve a dandruff problem. We have Nisim Shampoo Samples so please let us know if you would like us to send you some to try.

Are the plastic pins soft or rock hard?

No they aren't rock hard at all. Quite soft yet firm for a good scalp massage or just general brushing.
