ROG Strix B650E-F Gaming WiFi AMD Ryzen AM5 ATX motherboard, 12 + 2 power stages, DDR5, three M.2 slots, PCIe 5.0, WiFi 6E, 2.5G LAN, USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type-C port, and Aura Sync RGB

I have nothing bad to say about my experience using the ASUS ROG STRIX B650E-F GAMING WIFI for the past 5 months. It has worked flawlessly and coming for an ITX motherboard by a different brand previously, I have been impressed with this board’s features: 3 M.2 drives 12 rear USB ports, including 2 USB C The BIOS is slick and intuitive when I wanted to: • tweak RAM EXPO timings • undervolt my CPU • use BIOS flashback feature • turn off the motherboard RGB after finding the lights distracting I use wifi, which has been both fast and reliable Quality of life features like M.2 Q-latch, PCIE slot Q-release and DIMM slots for the RAM that only latch on one side, something I have not seen on any other board. If I had to complain about one thing, it would be the ASUS Armoury Crate software rather than the motherboard. It feels bloated and slow, BUT once you’ve used it for any software drivers and firmware updates, I was able to uninstall Armoury Crate with no issues. I’m pleased with my purchase and from my experience so far, this board has all the features that I’d want so I’d be happy to recommend.

The motherboard looks fantastic in black with subtle hints of red throughout. Essentially, I wanted an AM5 board with lots of M.2 storage, lots of fast USB ports, high quality onboard audio, onboard WIFI, and lots of connectors for ARGB. This board delivers - and the 3 M.2 slots is perfect for me; one for OS, one for video editing and one for future upgrades. The customisable ARGB cover is a nice touch, as are the POST lights! Overall, an excellent, well designed motherboard for the money!

Really good mother board handles win 11 pro. I have added extra sata and ports at front of machine as full atx case. I had one small issue and I think that's why people don't like this board. Driver issues but all fixed if you install the chip set driver and look for the rest you will get it fixed. I know computers like back of hand and even had me a little stumped but once you fix all drivers it's really fast. Update the bios too. It fixes bugs which were not seen at manufacturing time. Overall give the board 10 /10 asus always make great stuff. All i can say after a few months of use bios updates its beyond expectation Fast is a understatement with ryzen 9 Edition And Corsair ram it fly's no joke. i checked specs against intel and for price and build quality it keeps up with intel fast cpus no problem in expo mode as it hits much faster clock speeds automatically which shocked myself being a AMD xp CPU user. but what i will say they are doing away with floppy and CD / DVD roms thats why im glad i kept my open side window full atx case as can add more . you need add on cards for IDE and floppy controller but if case big enough it all works.

The motherboard was very good, had a bit of a problem with the bios but that was only because we put the cpu fan in the wrong header, other than that it works fine. Whenever I check the cooling, it stays relatively cool at around 40-50*C. Fit well in my PC Case (NZXT H7 Flow) and has 3 storage slots, 1 with PCI-E 5 and the others with PCI-E 4. The WI-FI antenna works well - but remember if you want the WI-FI to work well, you HAVE to attach the antenna on. Edit (around half a year later): The motherboard works perfectly fine, loaded windows well, however, remember to install the drivers because, (atleast for me) the Bluetooth drivers hadn’t been installed yet. Has a lot of ports and sockets and overall it’s good!

Really well made and spec’d mobo, has just about everything you are going to need for a good few years to come. My only gripe with this board is nothing to do with the board itself, but with the ASUS software you are encouraged to download, armoury crate is absolutely awful, while downloading the drivers for all the different parts of the motherboard it crashed repeatedly, I uninstalled it in the end and just downloaded all the drivers individually. After that everything worked flawlessly the WiFi is super quick, Bluetooth works well, I am sure I have also seen an uplift in fps over the A620 this board replaced, also the occasional stutters I used to get in games has gone too, overall very happy, just do yourself a favour and don’t bother with armoury crate.

Chose this board for the high specs vs others (for example this has Gen5 PCIE slot) and many others don't in the same price bracket and overall the board looks really good (matters with glass case!). Building with a 7800x3d this is perfect and had no issues with the CPU compatibility or having to mess around with BIOS updates to have it working out the box

Really good motherboard. High speeds for your graphic card. You can match with a Strix graphics card if you want. Now might upgrade for the same one but with 2 gpu cards due to the performance. It has good lighting but not to much so it it not in your face all the time.

It's a good solid board weighty, good features, easy GPU (PCIE) removal button, easy features to fit M.2 SSDs. Comes with alot of auto softwares. Alot of downloads for bios and softwares. Which can be turned off at bios but at same time it's useful, just another thing for computer to deal with at start up. Struggling to turn off RGB after computer shuts down. Tried a few different methods.... none seem to work yet. It does take a long time to load up when first turned on. Before entering into windows.... compared to a gigabyte board.

4,5 / 5 würd ich sagen. Ich nutze das ASUS ROG STRIX B650E-F Gaming WiFi erst seit kurzem, es ist mein erster PC-Build seit über 20 Jahren – und ich war überrascht, wie einfach der Aufbau heute ist. Es ist deutlich günstiger als bspw. das TUF Gaming B850-PLUS Wifi (verzichtet für aktuell 30 Euro weniger "nur" auf WiFi 7 und 1x USB-C 40Gbit was für mich ein Kompromiss war.) Alles beim ASUS ROG ist klar beschriftet, das Handbuch ist hervorragend mit guten Bildern und Erklärungen. Selbst ohne aktuelle PC-Bauerfahrung lief die Einrichtung problemlos. Positiv: • Sehr gute Build-Quality, fühlt sich hochwertig an. BIOS ebenfalls gut durchdacht. • Die Rückblende ist bereits integriert, muss also nicht extra montiert werden. • Zubehör ist ordentlich: WLAN-Antenne, Aufkleber, zusätzliches Wärmeleitpad für die SSD etc. • Front-Header bietet 10 Gbit/s-USB-C, was für mich völlig ausreicht. • 20 Gbit/s-USB-C an der Rückseite, was mir wichtig war. Negativ: • Der Support-Bereich auf der ASUS-Website ist etwas verwirrend. Bei den Treibern für Windows 10/11 musste ich auf eine ältere Version zurückgreifen, da die aktuellen nicht mehr auf Win 10 funktioniert haben. Die restlichen Treiber hätten etwas klarer definiert sein können, einen Service à la "such dir dein Setup aus und wir stellen dir die richtigen Treiber zusammen" sucht man vergeblich. Ich hätte mir auch LAN / W-Lan und Bluetooth Treiber ab Werk gewünscht, so startet man halt bei absolut 0. Aber das kann auch üblich sein, ich bin kein häufiger PC Baumeister. • Das Design ist Geschmackssache – mir persönlich etwas zu sehr mit „Republic of Gamers“-Schriftzügen überladen (kommt mir n bischen wie das "Camp David" der PC-Bauteile-Marken vor). Etwas dezenter wäre mir lieber gewesen, aber das gehört wohl zur Marke. Fazit: Technisch top, durchdacht aufgebaut und ideal auch für Wiedereinsteiger, die seit Jahren keinen PC mehr selbst zusammengebaut haben. Ein solides AM5-Board mit allem, was man braucht – mit kleinen Abstrichen beim Software-Support und beim Look.
