Can you use this on dry hair after you've used straighteners?

No u put it on wet hair after u have washed it and are about to dry it.It's a very good product and I would highly recommend it.

Does this product contain silicones??

As far as I’m aware it does , but I have to say , hair feels great and silky after use !! Would def recommend . No stickiness or tackiness left on hair , just soft and shiny ☺️

is this good enough to protect the hair from straighteners?

I use my straighteners every other day. I dry with a hair dryer first and then use my ghd straighteners. I love this revlon stuff my hairdresser used it on my hair first and I loved the smell of it and how shiney my hair looked afterwards so I bought some to try at home and yes I find it protects my hair.

I usually try and shake the bottle but I must admit that it does seem to be thick as you can’t tell if the liquid inside is moving. I only put it on wet hair as my hairdresser said it was good for tangled hair.
