Would this be wild or farmed? A number of companies are complicit in this comsumer deception.

We can confirm that the fishing zone for our Wild Alaskan Salmon Oil is from the waters off Alaska, mid-ocean, and the oil is derived entirely from wild-caught Alaskan Salmon. Please note that all salmon caught and harvested in Alaska are regulated by the parameters set forth by the MSC (Marine Stewardship Council) and by the state of Alaska.

what are the advantages of omega supplements

Mainly improved cardiovascular system as far as I know. At least that seems to be the case for me. I had a minor heart attack but couldn't tolerate statins. I've been on fish oil every day since and my cardiologist has seen my condition actually reverse. Quite rare as I understand it. I've heard it can also help with depression. Here's some good info: http://www.mayoclinic.org/drugs-supplements/omega-3-fatty-acids-fish-oil-alpha-linolenic-acid/background/hrb-20059372

Has anyone experienced a very bad smell with this soft gel capsules ? It smelled to fishy compared with my previous bottle of the same product.

Used about 3 bottles of these and never noticed a fishy smell
