I like using this Osmo matt clay, although it does have limitations. I have what I would describe as medium-length hair for a 40-year-old man - that is to say that it sits tidily just above my ears, feathered neatly to about half an inch above a shirt collar on the back, and with a bit more length on top where I can add a bit of texture. I have my hair cut approximately every 5-8 weeks (so not as frequently as some), and that's where I see this product's limitation. It works brilliantly for the first few weeks, but as the hair grows into say week 6+, the hair on top is just a bit too heavy for Osmo to deal effectively with. So, for the last week or two before revisiting my hairdresser, I revert to a different, stronger, but less nice product. When my hair is no more than medium length and weight, the Osmo feels really light, is the best matt finish of any products I've tried before (quite a lot!), and smells really good. A little goes a long way and I find hair styling is executed quickly and reliably, making this an ideal 'daily' product. Using a small amount also means not having to buy new tubs every few weeks, which is a positive. Do be warned, though; the product sets off (dries) probably within 20 seconds of rubbing it into your fingers, so work quickly for maximum reward! In summary: smells great, a little goes a long way, dries quickly in the hand (so work quickly). Works best on short to medium hair - will struggle on longer or heavier hair.

I have purchase this a dozen times. It is very easy to use and has a lovely texture for my hair. Sometimes the price is too high, so watch for when it’s around £6. It keeps its hold and has a nice smell

I have short pushed back hair. You only need a small amount of product smeared on fingers tips to push thru hair. Tin lasts ages.

I tried the Osmo Extreme Matte Clay, and while it does provide strong hold and a matte finish as advertised, it didn’t work for me for a couple of reasons: Smell: The scent is quite overpowering and lingers throughout the day, which I found unpleasant. It’s not subtle or neutral, which might not suit everyone’s preference. Greasy Feel: Although it’s supposed to have a matte finish, it left my hair feeling slightly greasy over time. It’s especially noticeable if you touch your hair throughout the day, which I do often. On the positive side, the hold is indeed strong, and it works well for structured styles. However, for someone who prefers softer, more natural-feeling hair, this product didn’t meet my expectations. I wouldn’t repurchase it personally, but it might work for someone looking for a strong hold and doesn’t mind the scent or texture.

The alcohol in it makes it difficult to apply to dry hair because it dries so quickly. But it’s a strong hold.

Nice texture and scent of watermelon. Hold is medium not strong.

I have aboundant thick hair and for that reason extra hold product usually doesn't do it for me. This is the best product I've come across. It applies very easily and allows you to mold your hair as you like. It doesn't leave the hair sticky nor the hands. And it smells very nice. Way better than American Crew, KMS Clay, Osis+ Wax from Schwarzkopf. For comparable results, you'd have to buy Redken Rough Clay 20 for three times the price. Shipping from UK to North America is effortless. Please allow reasonable time frame.
