Does the wolf amiibo work in Zelda breath of the wild

Yes, do the extra dungeon in Twilight Princess HD with the Wolf Link amiibo to get health to transfer over to Breath of the Wild.

New to gaming can anyone tell me what amiibo actually do i have got myself a switch

They basically work as a form of DLC for multiple games as well as collectible models. The Link archer amiibo for instance will get you bows, arrows and other misc items in BotW but will also work in other games, such as allowing you to save a special computer controlled Link in Smash Bros. In Fire Emblem Three Houses you can scan it to receive a random in game item and will do similar things in other games. However, some Zelda amiibo will unlock things in BotW you cannot otherwise obtain and you can find lists for this online. For full details of each amiibo you can search online to see what they all do.

Amiibo with Different idioms will work in English Nintendo switch

My grandson couldn't get them to work properly in his Switch. The language doesn't seem to be the problem and all Switches are made by the same company so they should have worked.
