I bought this as I'm sensitive to noise at work and for long plane rides. It is meant to be a substitute for ear plugs. It works very, very well. The muffs are surprisingly big in size, you will look a bit weird wearing it I suppose, but I'm fine with it. For its size, it is actually pretty light, and feels really light when you're wearing it. The head band is adjustable for most people's head size, mine is pretty big (I had to buy XL bike helmets) but it still fits well with some room to spare. Will work under a helmet as well, maybe not as comfortable but it's still fine, since the head band lies flat across your head, same as the metal cables connecting the muff to the band. The sound proofing is very good, but you can still make out what others are saying, which is a plus. It's comparable to wearing a set of good ear plugs, but way more comfortable for long periods. It's circumaural, so it covers your ears entirely. The muffs press lightly but firmly on your head, creating a seal, but it's not that uncomfortable in terms of the heat and humidity, as good as it could be I guess. I would have paid 3 times more for this product.

Spot on. Comfortable, size is perfect, cuts out noise just as the spec sheet specifies. Absolutely valuable for money. Designed so well. This is the same one u see being used by the airports as well, so ur ears are protected.

Durable and good performing ear defenders, been used for work 5-6 days a week over 1 year and still good. Dropped on the floor a few times(≤ 5) and no noticeable damage, only once it felt like noise attenuation in left ear wasn't working anymore but nudged it a few times and adjusted the cup over my ear, something clicked and it worked again. The deep ear cups help against heat and if you're so inclined ear buds fit inside, although comfort may vary. Probably should had bought a hygiene kit 3-6 months ago but that's still good value if you're using it for work and better care can be taken at home to avoid replacement. Still can hear people talking if that's a requirement but going forward they will be replaced by 3M Peltor X5A, at least for home use.

Work on an oil tanker and these ear defenders blow away any of the other ones we have on board. All vessels I have been on have the Optime brands so they must be doing something right for their price point. Only drawback is that the “hygiene kits” which are the replacement pads are quite expensive for what they are which drops a star.

Used these on noisy sites, near generators, and during grinding work—these earmuffs mean business. 35 dB rating blocks out serious noise, and the double-shell tech keeps sound out without feeling bulky. Headband’s padded and adjustable—sits firm without crushing your skull. Cups seal well even with a cap or hoodie underneath. Red/black finish looks sharp and stands out in the kit pile. If you want hearing protection that’s comfortable, reliable, and built for loud environments, the Optime III is a proper bit of kit.

Adjusting these is a little awkward, and I found I had to bend them back a bit so they'd fit my big head, but other than this these are excellent. I had the 3M foldable ones before and the noise reduction wasn't as good, and they weren't very comfortable. These are soft and comfy, and muffle noises very well - it's makes my washing machine sound much quieter and also less annoying. The earmuffs also feel more roomy, so good for bigger ears. Glad I bought these.

A perfect fit, and it blocks out just the right amount of noise for a busy workshop. The padding is soft and comfortable unlike some cheaper makes. Overall they are brillant.

As a sufferer of tinnitus it’s a must have. I go to a noisy Church every Sunday and it saves my hearing from getting even worse

Acheté à la lecture des avis précédents que je confirme: Amortissement exceptionnel des bruits environnants, le casque, certes volumineux mais d'un maintien parfait (ne glisse pas), est léger, ne comprime pas les oreilles, bien toléré sur une longue période de travail. Le système de maintien par la nuque permet de porter un couvre-chef. L'arceau rigide sur les casques traditionnels est remplacé sur le casque reçu par 2 lanières textiles avec velcro qui permettent éventuellement de le maintenir selon la méthode traditionnelle ( Cet accessoire ne figure ni dans le descriptif ni sur la photo). Un produit ultra-performant pour un coût modique.

Ich bin mit dem 3M PELTOR Optime III bisher wirklich sehr zufrieden. Ich nutze ihn hauptsächlich bei Arbeiten, bei denen es über längere Zeit ziemlich laut werden kann. Gerade dabei merkt man schnell, wie wichtig ein vernünftiger Gehörschutz ist. Bei diesem Modell habe ich das Gefühl, dass die Ohren wirklich gut geschützt sind und die Lautstärke deutlich reduziert wird. Die Geräuschdämmung ist meiner Meinung nach eine der größten Stärken. Laute Maschinen, Werkzeuge und andere starke Geräusche werden sehr deutlich gedämpft. Trotzdem ist es nicht so, dass man überhaupt nichts mehr hört. Gespräche und Umgebungsgeräusche sind zwar deutlich leiser, aber das empfinde ich bei einem Gehörschutz dieser Art eher als normal und auch gewollt. Sehr gut gefällt mir auch der Tragekomfort. Die Ohrmuscheln sitzen bei mir angenehm und schließen gut um die Ohren ab. Auch wenn ich den Gehörschutz über einen längeren Zeitraum trage, wird er nicht unangenehm. Der Kopfbügel lässt sich einfach anpassen, sodass man schnell eine passende Einstellung findet. Bei Bewegungen bleibt er außerdem zuverlässig an seinem Platz und verrutscht nicht ständig. Ein weiterer positiver Punkt ist für mich die Verarbeitung. Der Gehörschutz macht einen stabilen und langlebigen Eindruck. Nichts wirkt besonders empfindlich oder billig verarbeitet. Gerade wenn man ihn regelmäßig benutzt und nicht nur gelegentlich für ein paar Minuten aufsetzt, finde ich das wichtig. Was mir ebenfalls gefällt, ist die einfache Handhabung. Aufsetzen, einstellen und fertig. Es gibt keine komplizierten Funktionen, die man erst verstehen muss. Genau das erwarte ich persönlich auch von einem guten Gehörschutz. Er soll zuverlässig funktionieren und bequem sein. Nach längeren Arbeiten mit lauten Geräten merke ich einen deutlichen Unterschied zu Situationen, in denen ich keinen vernünftigen Gehörschutz verwendet habe. Die Ohren fühlen sich danach wesentlich weniger belastet an. Gerade deshalb greife ich inzwischen gerne zu diesem Modell, wenn es bei der Arbeit oder beim Heimwerken wieder lauter wird. Natürlich hat die starke Dämmung auch eine kleine Kehrseite. Wenn jemand direkt mit einem spricht, muss man teilweise genauer hinhören oder den Gehörschutz kurz etwas anheben. Für mich ist das aber kein wirklicher Kritikpunkt, da eine gute Geräuschdämmung nun einmal bedeutet, dass auch andere Geräusche leiser werden. Insgesamt gefällt mir der 3M PELTOR Optime III sehr gut. Er ist bequem, sitzt sicher, dämmt laute Geräusche sehr ordentlich und macht einen robusten Eindruck. Für längere Arbeiten finde ich ihn besonders angenehm, weil er nicht schon nach kurzer Zeit störend wird. Ich bin mit dem Gehörschutz rundum zufrieden und würde mich wieder für dieses Modell entscheiden. Für mich eine klare Empfehlung und deshalb volle 5 Sterne.

Dimenticatevi i tappi per le orecchie che dopo mezz'ora danno fastidio o che perdono efficacia: qui siamo su un altro pianeta a livello di isolamento. ​Perché le consiglio (senza giri di parole): ​Abbattimento del rumore: Quando usi il decespugliatore o la motosega, il calo di decibel è netto e immediato. Non senti solo meno rumore, senti proprio un silenzio profondo che ti protegge la testa dal mal di testa a fine giornata. ​Struttura e comfort: Nonostante siano ingombranti (perché l'isolamento richiede spessore, punto), le porti per ore senza che ti strizzino il cranio. L'archetto è regolabile e rimane in posizione anche se ti muovi molto o sudi. ​Qualità dei materiali: Le imbottiture attorno alle orecchie sono morbide ma resistenti. Non si sono ancora screpolate nonostante la polvere, il sudore e le vibrazioni tipiche di quando sei in mezzo al bosco o in giardino. ​Affidabilità: Sono costruite per durare. Non hanno giochi meccanici strani nelle giunture, il che significa che non si allentano col passare del tempo. ​I compromessi: ​Ingombro: Sono voluminose. Se devi lavorare in spazi estremamente angusti, tieni presente che sporgono, ma è il prezzo da pagare per avere una protezione di livello superiore. ​Calore: Essendo molto isolanti, d'estate le orecchie scaldano. Ma preferisco sentire caldo che tornare a casa con le orecchie che fischiano. ​In sintesi: Se cercate un giocattolo leggero per fare giardinaggio leggero, guardate altrove. Se invece usate attrezzi pesanti e volete proteggervi sul serio, queste 3M sono un investimento obbligatorio. 5 stelle meritate per la costruzione e l'efficacia brutale nell'isolare i rumori molesti.
