Teksta Voice Recognition Puppy Electronic Pet

Not sure why people are so negative. This robot dog does what it says on the box and is a reasonable price (when comparing it with furby's, hatchimals and the like). My 8 year old played with this a lot over Christmas and never had any problems. It does take a while to learn the various functions, so kids which are younger may struggle to use it and remember all the commands - the favourite feature for us has been the 'sit' and 'back flip' which has been used very many times with no problems. It is quite noisy, but also easy to turn off when the adults get a headache, which is good!

My daughter always wanted to adopt a pet but unfortunately due to allergies we couldn't get her the pets she always wanted. A few months back my wife told me about this teksta dog and how it reponds to commands and you can teach it how to do tricks and it recognises your voice, and I was like yeah that's a bit too good to be true.However when we gave our daughter this dog amazingly it filled her void of not having a pet because amazingly!!!! This dog does all the stuff my wife mentioned.Nowadays every place we visit teksta is always with us. (she called him Max)

Great in principle.... Difficult to use in practice. 6 year old bored within hours. Well made though and I'm sure it will get bits of use over time.

This robot dog responds well and has many features m, food fun for little children.

Takes a little to get used to controlling this toy but my dau. was very happy to o recieved this. Aha particularly like s to make it flip... but uses a cushion to break the fall and uses it on the carpet. Walks ok on carpet but better on hard floors. Can also pair with iPods to control.

it can't sit (therefore can't do backflips), doesn't recognise voice at all, app control only moves ears. Basically just walks, randomly barks, moves ears and head. That's it. Kid saw videos online how it's jumping etc. Now he's disappointed. Not worth it's money at all.

Kids love this dog. You can teach it tricks and to play with you. The dog flips over and responds to voice commands it really is a great gift for the children. 4 year old 8 year old and 9 year old all get involved whilst playing with him.

I bought this for my 5 year old daughter as a santa present but apart from turning on and barking it did nothing else. We tried everything (including looking up youtube tutorials in case we were too stupid to understand the instructions) but it's defective. I went to return it to amazon today and get a new one but told that it's no longer stocked by amazon and if I order it again (via 3rd party on amazon) it will cost £25 more for the same thing. Having read a few more reviews I'm loathe to do that as it doesn't seem to work very well even when it's not defective. I don't normally write reviews but this really ruined the whole santa thing for my daughter.
