Really happy
I'm definitely not an artist, and there's a whole story that involves not being allowed to do O-level Art (yes, I am that untalented) and forty years later led to me buying this watercolour set... The colours are bright and colourful, and have a decent amount of pigment. They are easy to mix, and work just as the tutors on YouTube advise that watercolour paints should behave. The case is very sturdy, feels solid, and has space to mix colours in the lid. There is also a travel brush included, which is designed to prevent the bristles being damaged during travel. Despite my previous apparent lack of talent, I have managed a few quite acceptable pictures so far. I don't think any professional artist need worry, but even so, I am pleased with what I have produced. They are definitely a step up from children's paints, and are very reasonably priced. Ideal for teenagers and adult beginners. (It is noted in the leaflet that some of the colours can stain, so perhaps not as good for younger children.)

Really worth the money 🥹🙏
(This is a unfinished painting by the way so he’s a bit blue, and I didn’t use water colour paper also is my first time working with watercolour paints ) but these paints are so good and affordable they are very high quality and would be really good for people looking for a gift idea or someone going into GCSEs or college and artists that like to paint whilst out and about since their portable! They work really well and has a good pigment and selection of colours and the consistency is really nice so it WOULD give a professional look to it if only i got more stuff for it lol

Perfect Travel Watercolour Set
I bought this set for travelling and urban sketching, and it's been excellent. The compact size means it slips easily into a backpack, jacket pocket or sketch kit without taking up much space, making it ideal for painting on the go. The Cotman colours are vibrant, easy to rewet and offer very good performance for a student-grade range. The selection of colours is well thought out and versatile enough for landscapes, city scenes and everyday sketching. The built-in mixing areas are surprisingly practical, and the included travel brush is much better than I expected. Everything folds neatly into a sturdy case that feels designed with sketchers and travellers in mind. What I like most is how easy it is to carry everywhere. There's no excuse not to bring it along, whether you're travelling abroad, sitting in a café or spending an afternoon in the park. For anyone looking for a lightweight and reliable watercolour kit, this is a fantastic little set.

Cotman basics for the artist on a budget
W&N’s ‘Cotman’ paints are less expensive than their professional-grade paints and targeted at amateur artists, but they’re still very good. Purist artists claim any shade may be created from three primaries plus black and white, so this set of 12 basic watercolours is more than you need to mix any shade or hue you may need - with the possible exception of Payne’s Grey which you always need to buy separately and for which (oddly) no budget version is available. Depending on your choice of subject, style and personal taste, you’ll almost certainly use some colours a lot more than others so can simply replenish the stock with individual tubes – for example I use a lot of cadmium yellow and burnt sienna for washes, so these often need replenishing. This set is good value and will get you started if you’re just beginning your painting journey.

Great little travel set
Even though I normally use Winsor and Newtons professional paints, I love this little travel set. I’ve taken it on holiday several times. The brush included has a nice pointed tip, and I found it easy to use despite its small size. I was also able to mix many more colours using the pans provided. I plan to buy several more of these sets as spares, and also for my children to take when we travel. The tin is very small, but that’s what makes it so portable. I would recommend this set.

Happy
Interesting product, they werent sealed when they came so when I opened the paint they where squeezing paint out on to the pallet. He cleaning and closing the tube wasnt fun. The quality of the paints are beautiful and beautiful colours in shade are wonderful. Stunning paints would buy again.

fun and versatile, great field set or beginner set.
A nice selection of intense pigments that support many tones of transparent colour simply by varying the amount of water used. The colours blend to almost infinite hues and even as a beginner they don't look muddy when mixed unless I am incredibly inept or actually choose to mix a deliberately muddy shade. This set includes a decent quality fine brush, well suited to detail and line work, and can be used wet on dry for pinpoint accuracy or wet on wet for dreamy blooms, delicate wahes and artistic effects. This is the first time i've played with watercolours since i was a child, and is so much more fun than I remembered. It is surprising that such tiny pans yield so much colour and cover so much 300gsm paper - whilst barely denting their content! This tiny pallette is the perfect size to put in a pocket and sketch in the field.
