Savage Island Men's Black Leather Combat Patrol Work Boots

Bought for Daughter in Army cadets, She loves them and finds them so comfortable, So much so we'll probably buy them again when outgrows them.

I recommend them whole heartily.My son already has a pair I bought for him. When I saw them I decided to buy a pair. As an ex soldier I know the importance of good boots and these fit the bill.They shipped the day of purchase and arrived by Royal Mail next day.I am a very standard size ten. They are a very snug fit, if you are thinking of wearing very thick socks in these cold days it maybe an idea to think about going up a size.

Fit as expected having read other reviews meaning they are larger than actual size 9. The sports insoles I cut to fit at size ten and the fit perfectly in these boots so that suggests that the boots are a size larger than stated. I am mostly happy with these boots my only niggle is that the fabric on the inside of the top is not the same soft fabric that appears on the trim. The rough stuff on the inside rubbed my legs raw through my woollen boot socks which has never happened before in years of wearing boots. I have sewn some velvet over the offending material with a thin layer of padding between the original surface and the velvet and this appears to have remedied the issue. I wear my boots for 9-12hr stretches walking anything up to 30 miles a shift (I work in a large busy pub) and with the sports insoles and velvet round the top these boots are lightweight and really comfortable. At the price I am very happy with only needing minor modifications.

I have been wearing these boots daily and all day for almost a month whilst working and walking the dog in all terrains and weathers. They are the best boots I have ever bought for comfort, look, and water proofing. They remind me of the NI boots in the 70s, which were highly praised at the time. Very happy with these boots.

Really nice comfortable boot. Would be great for occasional wear. I wear it to work 5 days a week and have worn through the soles in 7 months.

Frankly these are superb boots for the money. Thick, warm, tough, yet wear in within a day. They are roomy enough for thick woollen winter socks yet tight enough for normal ones. Obviously I do not know how long they are going to last but at this price I could afford to get a new pair every two months if I wanted too - which I would very much hope is not the case! I have dodgy ankles and these are extremely well balanced and have supported me well on recent excursions along slippy Cornish cliffs! Excellent boot and at this price possibly the best on the current market.Addendum: 5 March 2019.Today for the first time they started to leak slightly and let a bit of water in during the heavy rain. Excellent for about 15 months which for less than £30 quid I reckon is great going. Ordering a new pair this week. I honestly didn't think they'd last anywhere near as long as they have, particularly as I said before, I live in Cornwall and spend a lot of time outside on rough coastal paths, gravelly area's, slippy cliffs etc. genuinely rough terrain and often in hostile conditions. Honestly I think these are great value for the money.

When this arrived I was really happy, the weather was wet and my old boots had started to leak. Wonderful I would have dry feet again. And I would look smart as they appeared to be great quality.They were a bit large for a 10... Actually they were a lot large. But rather than send them back for a smaller size I just did them up tight and persevered. That evening, I noticed a mark on my leg. the rough lining at the top f the boot had essentially scraped away a layer of skin. It wasn't that bad so I didn't do anything.The next day armed with thicker socks I tried again and they were comfortable. I work i an office, so I rarely do more than 10-14 thousand steps a day (measured by my handy fitibit) so nowhere near the use of someone in the military, or security services would get. And therefore I expected the boots would last me a good long time.Within a fortnight the leather uppers were beginning to crack at flex points...Within a 6 weeks the they were letting in water...And within 3 months the sole had worn through completely.I cannot describe how disappointed I am. I feel entirely ripped off!The quality looks good initially. But they just don't last as you can see from the pictures I have posted the sole is woefully thin and just wore out. And that's from relatively light use. Please please please don't waste your hard earned money like I did. Spend a bit extra or you will be buying them again a few weeks later.

Bottines testées sur une dizaine de promenades de 5 ou 6 Kms .Parfaite , légères , pas trop rigides et donc agréables à porter .Le revêtement intérieur est un peu " rêche " et nécessite une bonne paire de chaussettes militaires ou trekking ... comme pour toutes bottines .Attention ; elles taillent grands ...environ une pointure au dessus .Si , comme moi , vous êtes entre 2 tailles ( 42 1/2 ) prenez la pointure inférieure ( 42 ) et vous serez a l'aise , même avec une ( fine ) semelle et de grosses chaussettes .Franchement , à recommander ...surtout pour 29 Euros ... ;-)

Hoffentlich halten die Schuhe! Der extreme Geruch den hier einige schon beschrieben haben war schon am naechsten Tag weg.... also es ist nicht so das man tagelang damit zu tun hat. Die Schuhe sind super bequem und passen. Ich habe Gr. 40 und einen breiten Fuss... was oftmals zum Problem wird. Sogar bei meinen geliebten Dr. martens. Nicht aber bei diesen Stiefeln!!!!! Die passen super! Maengel die hier einige beschreiben hab ich auch schon wie gesagt bei meinen Dr. Martens gehabt nur das die weitaus teurer sind als diese Stiefel. Hab die Stiefel gleich angezogen und hab damit gearbeitet Landwirtschaft/Pferde. Keine mueden Fuesse, keine Blasen. Ich geb mit gutem Gewissen volle 5 Sterne. Zum Versand durch amazon.... wie immer super schnell....vielen Dank an die Mitarbeiter von amazon...ihr macht einen tollen Job!Nachtrag: trage die Stiefel fast jeden Tag auch bei der Stallarbeit und beim reiten! Die Stiefel sind auch als Reitstiefel super bequem. Bin nach wie vor begeistert! Ich denke ich habe meinen Stiefel gefunden und werde sie auch fuer meinen Sohn zum reiten bestellen.

Va a hacer ya 1 año desde que adquirí estas botas, mi opinión sobre ellas es más que satisfactoria:- pedí la talla 43 que es la que uso y me vienen bien, si le meto un calcetín algo gordito aprietan algo pero con el tiempo se adaptan perfectamente.- los materiales se nota que no son de calidad, vienen pegadas y no cosidas, pero aún así llevo 1 año usándolas a diario, 8 horas y haciendo kilómetros con ellas y todavía aguantan.- hay botas mejores y también más caras, pero, seamos sinceros, con el tiempo todas acaban rompiendo o desconsiendose. Por lo que pagué por ellas, menos de 40 euros, estoy más que satisfecho. Calculo que me durarán al menos otro añito más. Lo que he tenido que cambiar en dos ocasiones son los cordones que traen que son bastante endebles para unas botas como estas.

Rispetto a quelli del marchio noto, questi scarponi sono molto economici ma hanno la stessa identica qualità, per quanto può capirne un utente non addetto ai lavori, potrebbero essere tranquillamente prodotti nella stessa fabbrica, poi confezionati con marchi diversi. Comodissimi, morbidi, leggeri, si indossano come un qualsiasi paio di scarponcini. L'unica pecca (la stessa degli altri) è che garantiscono poca impermeabilità, al primo passaggio in una pozza, ti ritrovi con i calzini bagnati. La pelle sintetica in dimensioni alquanto ridotte, non consente al grasso di fare il suo lavoro e quindi, l'impermeabilità è davvero scarsa, rispetto a quella garantita dagli anfibi tradizionali. Insomma, comodi e leggeri ma soo quando è tutto asciutto. Ripeto, questa è una pecca della tipologia e non dello specifico prodotto, al quale do 5 stelle, senza valutare quanto saranno capaci a resistere, ad occhio, non credo si parlerà di anni ma, a questo prezzo conviene ricomprarli ad anni alterni ed avere sempre anfibi nuovi.
