See Inside Science: 1

We have bought a number of the See Inside series. My curious six year old son loves science and seeing how things work and each of these has great images and more in depth detail behind the flaps. A great way to give children the big picture understanding of a topi and then go into it with more depth here and there. We'll buy more of these but so far this is the favourite out of: weather, space, London and science

My son has this book although we’ve had it a long time it’s still a big favourite of his. Interesting with flaps to open. Great book

I bought this as we had seen the book 'See inside your head', also by Usbourne which my little girlies adore. This book is amazing. Not only does it show you all the parts of the brain but it takes a light hearted look at how all the functions of the brain work and how that impacts the body. Yet again, when my girlies pick this up they are totally drawn into the information displayed and all sorts of comments and questions come firing back at me. Brilliant! My little ladies are under six, but I have no hesitation in recommending this book for this age group......just be prepared for the onslaught of questions you will get!

Very interesting for 4-6 year olds, which is my boys's age. Although probably much more in tune with my 6 year old's understanding. He loves picking up the flaps and discovering new things. Thankfully he is into reading now, which makes it easier for me. The book is also very visual, which keeps young readers going. The information is not exhaustive. Its more like a quick note on a picture, just to know what it means. A good way to get kids interested in a subject.

I bought this book for my daughter's 6th birthday and she loves it! It's the kind of book where you have lots to discuss, but also she engages with the pictures and flip windows by herself. I do sit down with her and talk about the different topics and we can spend approx 20 minutes talking about a single topic like space, life etc. (a double page). It's a great book, definitely widens her horizon and opened her appetite to learn more and more about the world around us! It's not for the lazy parent though, be prepared for more and more why questions!

We love these 'See Inside' books. As usual this one doesn't disappoint. Packed with useful information, well explained. It is set out in a lift the flap style to answer questions or offer other facts. it is suitable for a slightly older child though, 6 and up, as the typeface is small and there is too much information for the very young. Good book though.

Bought for my 6 year old daughter but learning things myself at 36 too! I cannot rate Usbourne books highly enough, we have several of them and they are all really well pitched for children with a good balance of pictures (and lift the flaps) and information so that children of ages 3+ can enjoy them and they can be read over and over as your children are ready for more information.

SEE INSIDE is a favorite book company of my son. Well decorated, small easy explanations, good quality- its all helps my 6 years old to discover the world around. I think its is still early for him, but a lot of moments he gets easily and share with his kindergarten teacher at school

THis book is a lot of fun to browse, read at leisure and/or seriously read for information. I purchased it for my 6 year old grand son and he still enjoys reading it. This is one of the books he chooses on his own. HIs 3 year old brother enjoys looking at the pictures as well. ONe of my goals is for them is to realize that science and math can be fun... this book definetly helps with science.
