Good quality whole meal flour at a great price

Arrived well packaged in good order. I have used this produt before and it makes a tasty loaf with good texture in my breadmaker.

As some other reviewers have noted, this flour is not very strong. The result is that the bread just falls apart, almost like cake. Obviously it's not so bad (although still not great) if mixed with strong white flour, but that's not a good solution for those who want wholemeal bread. It's so fragile that even the light force of spreading on soft butter can cause it to break. I've experimented with using less yeast to make it rise less and be denser, but unfortunately it's still just as fragile. I'm going to seek out some organic gluten to add to it in the hope that this will improve things. On the plus side, it's organic and it tastes absolutely fine. Whilst its fragility makes it rubbish for sandwiches or toast, it would be okay as a side to soup or whatever—but do expect lots of crumbs. I won't buy this product again.

I was fed up of paying the extortionate prices that the supermarkets charge for our breadmaking ingredients that I decided it was time to shop in bulk from Amazon. We have not been disappointed - good quality and at a much better price. Works very well in our breadmaker and I will e re-ordering very soon. We also appreciate the fact that this is organic.

An essential ingredient to add taste to sourdough loaves.

My flour was delivered today, unfortunately it has a very tight expiry date on it, 4th of August, I'm not sure I will get through it by then. This is my second purchase, the first had over 6 months till expiry so not very happy. I have another delivery of white flour on it's way so hopefully that has a longer date on it. Guess we will be eating a lot of brown bread this month!
