Canto One-Piece Translucent Soprano Recorder with Baroque Fingering Transparent Blue

This is a nice recorder with a good tone over most of the two octaves (the highest notes are thinner/more piercing, which is true of anything I've played in this price range; the lowest notes (C, C#, D, D#) are a little weak but not unpleasantly so.The only "con" is that it appears to be a one-piece instrument; I can't turn the head or the foot to adjust the instrument to my hands. I deduct one star for this.Not a bad choice for the price. The also pretty and translucent Yamaha YRS-20B is a better choice, both for moveable joints and slightly better tone overall, but if the YRS doesn't come in your favorite color this is a perfectly acceptable alternative.

Bought this for my 4th grader. She loves it. Has a nice tone for a squeaky plastic recorder. Finger holes are nice and easy for my little girl to use. We got this for her class in school. Everyone has to have a recorder. She enjoys playing it.

Two year old insisted that he needed a flute. We checked Amazon and decided this would be perfect. His favorite instrument is a tuba...maybe later. Too young to use fingers properly since he already knows how to play!?@! When reminded, he plays softly.The instrument is good quality heavy royal blue plastic, He will eventually learn to play, but for now he is thrilled. This recorder should last for years!

Great product for a great price! I bought this for my 3 year oldgranddaughter because she wanted a flute. She really enjoys making music and picked up fairly easily to cover the holes to change notes. Granted she is only 3, so its not real music. It's holding up very well and would buy again! Quality product for school age children too.

My granddaughter had a Canto Recorder a few years ago and it disappeared under our deck. We pulled it out this summer and although it was still okay (not broken, etc.) I really didn't want her playing it. I went on line and found the exact same recorder for an unbelievably reasonable price. I ordered two (for two granddaughters) and I am very pleased - comes in nice little bag with instructions and a cleaner and the colors are beautiful. Would highly recommend.

Both my kids needed one from r music class works great and love that we can get dressed fgerent colors so they don’t get mixed up.
