Mad Catz V.7 Keyboard for PC

exactly what the title says, superb. i found the layout of the mad catz better than my roccat isku fx as when i play mmo for example, i hang my little finger over the edge of the apostrophe in the top left hand corner of the keyboard as a guideline for the rest of my key presses and the mad catz has no intruding keys to the left of the apostrophe unlike the roccat isku fx which has the five macro keys vertically down the side.the lighting of the mad catz has annoyed some reviewers with the lack of oommpphh provided but tbh when i game with the lights out and set various parts of my keyboard with different lighting i find it perfect. my only niggle with the lighting is that i wish i could customise the keys almost individually instead of sections but its still great!the twelve programmable keys (six on each side) are great for macros etc but to be used as buttons in say for example ffix a realm reborn you have to hope saitek have a profile for your game for which you have to assign one of your program keys. eg i select a key combo i wish to use in game, set it in the program key number 1, link it to the profile for a realm reborn, then go into game and make sure the key combo is the same as the one i chose at the start of this example. so basically you cannot just play a game, go into key bindings and press one of these macro keys as choice.nevertheless this is a great keyboard and the several different colour choices are great, depth of lighting, the media keys along the top are all sensory and the display looks like something from a spaceship you might see on stargate sg1!. also, when in cyborg mode (by pressing the mad catz logo) the windows keys are automatically disabled which i find brilliant in games as i have often knocked them to my chagrin and got back into game only to find myself half dead!overall this keyboard looks and feels the bees knees for £61. maybe the more expensive corsair and razer keyboards are better but for the amount i have paid, this is well worth the money to me!

Got this to replace my old keyboard. Made the right choice it is the best keyboard I ever owned. Main feature for me is comfort. Adjustable lighting is good and simple to adjust. Programmable keys are the best because they are situated both sides of the keyboard meaning both right handed and left handed people can use some of them. Being left handed this is a boon for me as most keyboards of this type have the keys situated down the left side, making using them - and the mouse - at the same time - nigh on impossible. This keyboard was the best and least expensive solution to that problem. The programmable keys can be programmed with software that you download from the website. It was easy to use and the instructions were clear and detailed. Keys have a nice feel and are comfortable to use. There are 2 sets of legs, one at back and one at front, which helps to attain the most comfortable gaming position. This lifted the keyboard for me making it very comfortable to use. If you are going to spend a long time gaming this is important. Wrist rest at front is comfortable and well positioned. The price is amazing for what it does - 5 stars all the way from me!

why 3 stars because I am over 55 and wish the sound adjustment was easier to use on keyboard. for gaming it is very good

Personally I like that this keyboard is heavy. So during work or gaming it's quite to hard to misplace it on a table :)Key's are solid and AWSD keys which is mostly used in games are extra coated.Back-lit is fine - but I expected a bit more ... customization. But it's actually ok. The touch sensitive backlit controller seems quite clunky and to be honest - does not add much value to it. But can see keys in a dark just fine.A bit disappointing was the extra function keys on left-right side. I expected these to be more configurable.Basically the programming tool let's you to just add custom keyboard strokes ... but not to assign "run calculator" etc ... just keystrokes ... there is some macro option but it's also limited by pressing keys ... you can record mouse movements and play it back but it's not really useful for developers... maybe only for testing something.Be aware as it around 20% larger than usual keyboards then you have to have more space on a table.Overall - good product, solid build. If you hate that your keyboard is moving around the table while in gaming action , i would suggest this keyboard. Maybe a bit too expensive for actual bang for a buck ... So for this money you expect maybe a bit more.

It is not often that I write a negative review about a product but do so when required. I purchased this keyboard just over a year ago and was initially impressed with the functions and quality for just under £60.The keyboard is heavy and seems reinforced for those gaming mishaps, the keys are coated for extra durability and the cable is also very strong.The keyboard allows external components to be attached and my son connected his mad catz mouse into it.The keyboard however started to become faulty after 7 months of light use and I returned it to the seller at around 9 months for a repair/replacement as per Amazon policy. The seller has had the keyboard now for some months and I have chased them on numerous occasions requesting an update. So far the keyboard has had to be inspected etc etc and I have been awaiting replacement for nearly a month.I spoke with the seller today and they would only offer a 50% refund which does not cover the cost of a replacement, not good business at all.All in all a nice looking keyboard that in my opinion will not last, I will be buying Corsair now and taking my business to an alternate seller.

The problem with the keyboard is that you cannot press two keys at the same time. C + Space for instance, or Alt + Shift. You can do this with old keyboards, so why not with newer ones such as this? Not a good product for what its intended.

Ya lo había comprado hace muchos años en el corte inglés, pero estaban empezando a fallar muchas teclas. Ha sido una suerte el poder comprar exactamente el mismo. La única pega es que está en ingles, pero si apenas miras cuando escribes, no te das ni cuenta.

I actually bought this keyboard because the one I wanted was out of stock and it really is a good keyboard. I did stop using it when I found the one I was looking for, but ONLY because it's too big for my poor little desk and it was hard to use the mouse. I wish they made a version of this without programmable buttons, or make them optional. Not that they weren't useful also, but I pretty much made them pointless by getting an 11-button mouse that also supports macros. I highly recommend this keyboard for gamers, just keep in mind that it is a good few inches longer than a normal keyboard. Of course I knew this, but I didn't realize just how big it was until I unboxed it.The pros: A good looking keyboard that catches your eye whether the lights are on or not. Quiet and well made. Will remember your light settings if you shut down the computer, unlike most. Also the feature to change the light color and intensity on just some parts of the keyboard is pretty cool.Cons: None really, just make sure you have enough desk space so it doesn't get in the way. The programmable buttons are nice if you need them, a little annoying if you don't.

Just this keyboard touched my heart!it is a great keyboard and i can assure you if you buy it you will love it!not give more importance to it picture just this kb is more beautifull at live.have green colors , red and more...have volume control and multimedia controls too plus a usb port.SO AT END MY SUGGESTION IS THIS:GET THIS AND NOT BUY THE G19 logitec keyboard beccause at low price there are more +++ good alternative...im very vey happy with this buy.NOT LOSS MANY MONEY TO MORE WHEN YOU CAN GET MORE FOR LESS MONEY.Proprio questa tastiera ha toccato il mio cuore!si tratta di una grande tastiera e vi posso assicurare se lo comprate vi piacerà!Non dare più importanza ad essa solo questo quadro kb è più bella in diretta.avere colori verde, rosso e molto altro ...avere il controllo del volume e controlli multimediali anche più di una porta usb.SO A FINE Il mio suggerimento è questo:GET QUESTO E NON COMPRARE IL tastiera G19 Logitec beccause a basso prezzo non ci sono più +++ buona alternativa ...im molto vey soddisfatto di questo acquisto.NON PERDITA MOLTI SOLDI PER più quando si può ottenere di più per meno soldi.

I really like the layout of the keyboard, the fact that you can set which keys are litup and what color. My biggest and only drawback is when playing one of my games, there is a key which I have not been able to locate that turns my volume all the way down, which really hurts in an FPS game and the only way to turn the volume back up is to reboot my computer. I love the feel of the keyboard, the wrist rests are an added touch that I have come to really appreciate. If It wasn't for the audio problem this would have easily been a 5 star review.Well, time for an update. I contacted Mad Catz about the audio problem with my keyboard. They didn't even bat an eye or flinch, they sent me a brand new keyboard and now ALL is forgiven. I've upgraded my review to a 5 star and the keyboard works flawlessly. Thank you Mad Catz and thank you Amazon for carrying this awesome keyboard.

Prodotto utilizzato da anni e non mi ha mai deluso. La porta USB e i connettori per 1x Audio e 1x Microfono in alto devo dire che si riveleranno davvero utili. Il pannello in alto Touch è davvero bello e sembra di stare in una nave spaziale, grazie anche alle luci regolabili sia di intensità e sia di colore. I tasti programmabili ai lati devo dire che non ho mai avuto la necessità di utilizzarli, questo perchè cercavo più una tastiera egocentrica e spaziale. Richiesta soddisfacente su tutti i punti di vista, unico nei è il TASTO INVIO che è piccolo ma più ci si fa l'abitudine.Consiglio
